13th of the Deep Cold, 1852

An older gentleman marches about the steps outside the Cathedral in Johannesburg, on a slightly elevated platform above a loose, disorganized crowd -- Quite a small one, at that. As the sunset had only just passed, the sky now composed of a blue and grey pallete. Dressed in an elegant black vest and white undershirt, with attractive, golden cuff links, complete with a pair of light spectacles, two young men trail behind the individual, idly standing with their arms behind their backs as the man prepared to speak. The crowd silenced themselves, prepared to spectate the abrupt meeting.

For just another moment, the man rubbed the side of his own shoulder in anticipation, before finally speaking aloud.

"Good evenin',"  he'd begin, "Despite the unexpected and void subject matter, I thank those who have shown enough interest to attend, and on such short notice, as well. To some who've read my numerous works, you will be quite aware as to what this assembly will discuss, yet many are still ignorant as to who I am, myself."

"My name,"  he'd proceed, taking a sharp, brief breath, "My name is Bell R. Sano, I've served as a guard within our grand city since the DeRolle administration, back in Felsen. Before my last contract expired, I had served as the Senior Sergeant in the Johannesburg Capital Police Department, working alongside Chief Aesterwald. I've studied modern history and Orenian law at the Lordship of Skyfall, and graduated, some forty years ago. Ever since, I've acted as a scholar, working at the Dragur Library, and have publicly shared dozens of novels and textbooks. As of recent, I've published the Sanoist Manifesto, a five volume work, still available to the public eye. That was a year ago, and since, we've garnered quite the impressive following."

"Yes, folks, we're going to have a rather brief discussion about Sanoism, and how we can treat this refreshing ideology in a civilized, mature, and passive manner."

"The Sanoist philosophy made it's initial appearance not even a decade ago, while Johannesburg was still quite young. We didn't address it as such, but as the prospect was fed more fuel, others began to refer to this concrete platform as, 'Sanoism.' I, myself, was pleased, and published the Sanoist Manifesto, with the primary goal of spreading this philosophy, not in the hopes of recruitment, but rather, persuasion. As the year is now '52, I am pleased to officially announce that I will press on with my personal ideological promotion within Johannesburg, and my followers shall independently do the same. With minor political figures, mostly within Oren, yet some in foreign nations, now calling themselves 'Sanoists,' it is safe to assume that we, as political pioneers, have conducted our initial duty to the international community; With this said, our work is far from over. Without explaining Sanoism to those of you that are currently unfamiliar with the concept, as those individuals may just read my book, I'd rather push for a domestic agenda."

One of the two, young men then passes Bell a sheet of paper, where he would then adjust his glasses, examining the parchment.

"Recently, as some of you have noticed, a small group of two or three people may have been recording polling data around the city. These organizers included Armin Ambertoe, a librarian at the Dragur Library, and Jester, the director of agriculture for Johannesburg. We asked a series of nine questions to over two dozen individuals, and truly uncovered the twisting revelation, that-- A majority of Orenian citizens seem to align with Sanoism, at least, with the primary tenets of such. For example, we found that over seventy-eight percent of citizens are in favor of increasing the overall budget for the Imperial Legion, and other military bodies, more than that of what the current administration has provided. Furthermore, we found that a whopping ninety-six percent of citizens surveyed believed that they felt their taxes weren't being used appropriately, or that they weren't benefiting society as a whole. In addition, just about ninety-one percent of Johannesburg's citizens are in favor of creating a centralized  education system in Oren. To name only a few other statistics we garnered, we found that nearly eighty percent of people surveyed want more laws relating to that of Canonism, and to give the Church more political power, yet seventy percent are under the impression that  we aren't holding clergymen within the city to a high enough moral standard. Finally, nearly fifty percent of those surveyed have hopes of criminalizing narcotics and dangerous substances, such as cactus green. With these, in all honesty, abrupt and surprising statistics, it's now proven that the people of Johannesburg are geared far more towards Sanoism than previously believed."

"To quote chapter two of 'Dᴇ Pʀɪɴᴄɪᴘɪʙᴀᴛᴜs,' by Sylvestre Halcourt II, "A prince must be just. Without justice, he is a coward and a traitor to his own people." I outlined something vaguely similar in my own work, stating that it is the duty of the people to ensure that their superiors are performing to the best of their abilities, and I cannot help but agree with Mister Halcourt, as well. It is, for this reason, we shall peacefully voice our opinions, and advocate for the policies we deem appropriate to that of the state and her people. With that, I dismiss this assembly, but I do encourage you to exercise your given political powers, and join us in the philosophical crusade that we've begun. There is no organization, there is no union, and there is no cult dedicated to that of Sanoism, it is simply a political ideology. We ask only that you call yourselves Sanoists, and be proud when you do so. That is all, go in peace, safe travels, and Ut filii Dei."

As the trio depart, the sky had become darker, the moon now seen over the horizon. Both cheers and jeers erupted from the now medium sized group, the men still marching onward.

Joseph Haverford ponders the tenets of Sanoism after the speech. "This could make some serious change." he says, beginning to seek out Bell to help in advancing his ideology.

"Your ideology consists of public opinion garnered from migrant elves and those who wouldn't dare draw arms for their nation. It is a cowardly bunch of academics attempting to spread Eblonism through the guise of something progressive- a movement. Similar to Caligo's 'Communism' or other radical cretins, I highly suspect this to be nothing more than an attempt at feeble advertising.

His Imperial majesty was chosen by the creator to rule, thus his decisions are godsend. This 'movement', dare I say such without evidence, has not edged onto social issues. Rather, it seems to garner pointless complaints that are remedied as the problems do not exist!

A public education system would not work as everyone seems to be a 'genius' already, not to mention the youth demographic of the Imperium Quintus, and other nations, consists mostly of adults devoted to other professions such as farming, trade or that of the military. Furthermore, there is a lack of educational providers that do not produce slant nor proper education. Most of those who desire an education system are elves who wish to feel pompous. Tell me, who visits this draugur library aside from the occasional halfling or adventurer human? Elves. Magic Users. Degenerates.

This notion that government officials are to be at the top of their ability is no more than an excuse to complain. The good free market solves problems- if his Imperial Majesty does not receive quality work, he simply relieves officials of their duties. It has been seen with Ser Vitallius and others who fail to do their work. His Imperial Majesty has an empire which has engulfed all but Haria and thus cannot afford lacking bureaucrats, whom I personally dread.

There is no need for a 'military budget' as armies are in a sense, self sufficient. They've quotas which collect resource to fill their armories and conservatories and craftsmen to produce the finest equipment. Should an army fail to meet this standard by itself, it should cease to exist due to its lack of men or poor leadership.

As for the church, I've much to say. But not here, not in a response to those who do not understand the great Eblonist scheme! However, let it be known. The church has strayed from a good course of human pride to one of accepting elves as Holy Sers. The Church currently accepts any peasant into its ranks without education in order to stay relevant. The church died when Emperor Chivay dissolved it and Darfey coup'd the true Pontiff.

The Sanoist manifesto is a plague upon society and a subversive globalist scheme to pollute the minds of men to accepting the destruction of their country from within. It even states such in your manifesto through multiculturalism! Yet, despite all this, you STILL ADVOCATE FOR THEOCRACY?

We men of Priorism, Lucienism, Maltism are steps ahead of thee. The difference is, our member list is exclusive as we only desire the best rather than Eblonist sympathizing rabble."
Comments a Westerland Warrior as he continues with his freedom loving Priorism, farming his taters.
