Whilst not technically 'follow' it, it should be heavily inspired by it, or should be a spin off / alternative universe type dealio - like say, your story is about the sudden removal of magic, and whatever ensues. As for criteria, it will be literally on anything. Length, how effective your vocabulary is - it's how much I enjoy the story, basically. If it's something I genuinely want to read the end of, then I'll be marking that higher. If it's something that feels like a chore, then it'll get a lower mark.
