I had to do it. I wanted the job a great deal for a very long time. I got it at a pretty important time in my life and between the time commitment, hate and staff politics, there was no way to stick around. I don't envy anyone with a red tag, and while I hope the people wearing the red tag do well, it's ludicrous to demand their resignation because a warzone wasn't set up on time.

For a while, yah, it was pretty cringey. I spent half a year just trying to shill for Admin whilst doing the bare minimum as a GM.

 

Then I started actually doing the work I should have been and realized that when you take this **** seriously it's really just a garbage situation. I strived for Admin and got it, but if anything I think that validates my point. It's difficult and stressful and I wish it upon absolutely no one.

I agree wholeheartedly. Haven't been playing on the server for even a year yet and this is clear to me. The entire staff and especially the administration work very hard to keep the server running with no remittance and rarely an ounce of gratitude. Their occasional mistakes are more largely noted than their accomplishments. It's sad really.
