I mean - why do you need to throw insults around that could potentially hurt peoples feelings? Well, there isn't really an answer. LotC has a really tight community and most of the people get along in the community (bar some). Insults are thrown around as jokes most of the time, and there isn't any offence really meant by them. When people say words like 'f*ggot' or 'k*ke' they're not actually discriminating against those groups; it's just a word they use. You also have to remember that this is the internet, and not everyone is going to be the politest around you. Just make sure to not take offence easily and you'll get along fine c:. I'll take the bait though and respond seriously, whilst I haven't even formally played on the server yet I can tell you that the internet or this server will never be a "safe space" and aiming to make it such is a little bit ridiculous. Take what you can get and deal with it. I do agree with your second part of the post however, about doing nice things for each other. Those small things are really all we can do.
