Holy Ser Romanos, the Grandmaster of the Holy Order of Saint Lothar would be in the temple of the Diarchs alongside with his brothers during the sermon. Upon hearing the news through whisper and gossip while he's still in the Temple, he understands the time has come, war cannot be avoided now. "God Wills it, Deus Vult, Einai thelima toy Kyrioy" he'd shout while the sermon reaches its end.

A servant entered Stefjan's chambers as he was getting dressed, delivering the young lord a letter with the seal of House Ruthern. He quickly went silent as he looked down at the letter, his fingers shaking whilst he began to read about the death of his brother-in-law. Count Boris Nikolas Ruthern was declared dead, slain by a group of Courlandic soldiers. "This will not be forgiven. I swear it upon the honor of my House." He uttered with hatred in his voice as he crumpled the letter within his grasp, throwing it to the roaring flames of his fireplace after.

The King of Courland says nothing as he hears of the death of the Count, his heart still sour following Haense's capture of his niece, the murder of his nephew, the execution of the Courlandic Duke of Mardon and the murder of the daughter of one of another Stauntonic Duke.

Aleksandra's brows furrowed as the servant handed Stefjan the letter with her families seal. She would push herself up out of the seat she had been lounging in to peer over his shoulder. Her eyes widened as she read that her brother had been murdered. "No," she said, shaking her head as she shuffled backward. Her eyes would fill with tears as she lowered herself down into her former seat. Shock and pain would be written across her face as a tear would slide down her cheek. "Boris," she croaked before her tears consumed her.

Sergei Kovachev would sip his tea as he paced around his castle "This is war!" he'd shout, his words echoing throughout the keep "I have more claim to their throne then anyone who fights for them." the young Kovavhev Duke would chuckle as he sat in his chair "You've got a problem Tobias! GOD is on Haense's side and it always has been. God has abandoned your **** fest of a family in the past and will again!" he'd yell towards the fire glowing in the fireplace before him "By Righy of Flame."

Kynsinna sits by the fireplace, watching her son pace back and forth with a sigh, "Calm yourself, we'll need you to have a clear mind. He was such a young man, too young to die. It seems more and more people have been dying too young..." She'd would mumble, glancing down to the parchment before placing it on the table and replacing it with a goblet of wine, "By right of flame, by bones and barrow."

Hughes would sit slumped in his office upon reading of the news. "Why must ze good die young? He was barely fully grown, and yet he was slain in cold blood." He'd put a hand over his face, mourning the death of a valued friend.

Viktor stood upon the prow of the dromond he had obtained in Aeldin, eyes dark and hooded as he stared down the horizon, anticipating the time when the Voron coast would come into view. He had received word of his brother's death and he did not know what to feel, though his insides seemed to have fallen in on one another and his heart was twisted and black with sadness, fury and vengeance. A thunderous call went up from the decks of the Aeldin Aengul, and Viktor Ruthern kept his eyes burning with blue furious flames fixed on the distance.

As Adolphus Vyronov reads about the brutal death of his cousin, silent tears would form in his eyes before he slams the table. "These damned Stauntonites! May the Creator strike them down!" He curses.

Annebelle Farsight would be at  her father's home in Mondstadt as she recieved the news. The courier offering her a letter, an apologetic expression plastered across his face. She'd note the expression and quickly grab the letter, tearing it open and scanning over the words. She'd pause, her face going pale, but she'd remain stoic, frozen in shock. She'd keep her gaze locked on the letter, unmoving for a long while, until her first tear escaped. And once it did so, the rest followed in an unbroken stream.

Elrith sighs, hearing news of Boris Ruthern's death. He gets up from his chair and walks over to his work desk, grabbing a book and a quill. He draws a line over a name within his book, 'Boris Ruthern', and then writing next to it, 'dead'. "I wonder if he ever did get my apology, that I told to that Ruthern girl that visited Urguan that one day... I will have to go find his grave some time if he never did get it..." He says softly, leaning back in his chair as he looks up at the wooden ceiling, at his home, within Tal'Ardoth. "I will have to make sure that I won't be attacked on sight first, being affiliated with too many people can have it's challenges... Hopefully we won't be seeing any Dwed at any battles that are to come." He notes to himself, letting out a last sigh before he falls asleep in his chair.
