What a useless reply man, he's working and making plugins to make the server more interesting for people. He's just a coder, it's his job to make plugins like this. If you have a problem with it take it to the dev's.

Coders have the ability to work on plugin additions to the server which don't involve making changes to existing systems (improving a skill, personas, etc all fall under the developer rank) and are discouraged from attempting large projects (often coders burn out or just don't have the tools to undertake it - we don't trust every coder with our backbone infrastructure which is required for a project such as the Magic Plugin or other, highly requested features.)

 

This is a fantastic plugin which adds life and character to our World of Axios - @dsdevil has outdone himself and bashing him for wasting his time is incredibly rude for the hard work he has put in. Thank you.

So who is looking at why the three core plugins of the server crashed. And after an attempt to fix it, the entire server failed, resorting back to vanilla ways. Personally, that's more important. What is the point of having a car if you don't maintain it. I do know DSDevil was working on this prior to these issues, but still. But anyways GJ Devil.

The issue you reference was fixed within hours of it occurring.

Yet they still occur. There are more bugs and glitches with Nexus and Obelisk then most beginning dev's could cause. They all should be tested and patched before Dev's continue their work on new bugs.

So, let me get this straight, we're going to endorse drug usage? Since when did the server become rated M? Not really something that should exist on a game that has a lot of really young people playing it. 

 

Sure drugs have always existed in lotc, though usage of it was merely a joke. Making a plugin with actually affects no longer makes a quick laugh before moving onto other rp. Really was a waste of time. 

 

Not saying the coder did bad work, just work on something that isn't needed.

You'd be suprised how many big names like facebook and youtube that run on code that's basically duck-taped together. Fixing bugs isnt as easy as just saying "im gonna fix all the bugs today".  9 times out of 10 bugs show up in places you didnt even think of or just suddenly decide to start conflicting with another plugin because of a minecraft update. Thats why you have devs on call to fix fatal bugs before they do any damage. Its not reasonable to halt all development until all previous code is "bug free". 

 

Either way, I dont have access and im not authorized to work with that specific code at the moment. So if i wasnt making this, id be making a random GM quality of life plugin that players would never know about and I prefer making something for the players.

 

I do appreciate you speaking up tho, I do believe the players need to be heard a lot more than they currently are.

You could argue that every plugin we have are not needed. It used to be Urasept's vision to have only an rp chat plugin and let the rest be done in rp. I think plugins are needed to improve the player's experience.

 

I dont think this plugin is useless just because I had a lot of positive feedback from players whilst I was creating it and even now that ive released. If it made even a few players' day more exciting, then it was a useful plugin imo.

 

I dont want to bother arguing or debating against your point about drugs not being PG, but I think the fact that we hide children from the real world is what is making so many adults today weak minded
