The Smithing Guild

 

 

The Smithing Guild was re-established under the reign of the Grand King Bastion Ireheart in the year 1600 on the isles of Axios. All workforces, including the Smithing Guild along with the Engineering guild are underneath the Yemekar’s Pick, who directly runs the mining guild.

 

The Anvil of Algoda

This anvil was created to honour a new beginning for the guild in the lands of Axios and in remembrance of the former Forge Master and Grand King Algoda Frostbeard, who served the Grand Kingdom of Urguan diligently for many years.. This large anvil is not used for Golemancy or Runesmithing. But rather used for forging with one's bare hands. This art takes conditioning for one's hands before one can do such a thing. So therefore this anvil is only used by the Master Smiths of the Guilds. This anvil is property of the Forge Master. As such, when the Forge Master steps down he symbolises this by handing over the anvil to his successor. The anvil is only to be used by those who have the Forge Master’s permission. Should anyone without permission touch the anvil, he shall be punished severely.

 

Succession System

In the event that the Forge Master dies or advocates because of some unforeseen circumstances, the Grand King will appoint a new Forge Master after consulting with the Yemekar’s Pick, the leader of all workforces within the Grand Kingdom

 

The Positions/ Ranks

 

Kadrin Kronok (Forge Master)

The Forge Master is the leader of the Guild. His word is considered law in the guild. He manages the day to day activities of the guild. And makes sure that everything runs smoothly. The Forge Master is in charge of assigning quotas and handing out materials for the other guild members to use to forge weapons, tools and armour for the Grand Kingdom.

Kadrin Kronos (Legendary Smith)

Legendary smith is a extremely difficult position to gain. It is given normally to the old Forge Master’s of the Guild. Although in some cases it can be given to those who have truly mastered their art.

Kronetok (Teacher)

Smiths who have devoted themselves to teaching the initiates. Due to this rank requiring the player to show a high degree of skill within smithing. This is harder to attain than most ranks.

Kadrinok (Blacksmith)

The ones who reach this rank are no longer simple learners. Although they are by no means experts. The smiths who attain this rank can repair iron and have a decent knowledge of smithing.

Kadros (Forgeling)

Everyone at some point starts at this stage. This is a position for those who are beginning to learn this craft. Smiths who can’t yet repair simple chainmail fall into this category, also no knowledge in smithing is required. The Kadros must complete a series of trials before they may graduate to Kadrinok. Trials are overseen by the Forgemaster or their teacher.

The Trial of Strength

The Kadros must forge an axe that will sustain the mightiest blow against hard steel.

The Trial of Endurance

The Kadros will have to show that they can take the heat of the forge. They must spend two hours by the forge, working their hardest.

The Trial of Diligence

The Kadros must show they are devoted by staying active in the guild and fulfilling their quota for 2 stone weeks.

 

All members of the guild will receive a pay based on their rank if they have completed their weekly quota, the higher the rank you attain the more you will be trusted to craft more things for the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.
