The Senate Reconvenes

*the Senators of the Ord-Umar gather within the Senate chambers of Kal’Omith, the Grand King posting guards outside of the chambers to only allow Senators entry into it.*

 

“Senators, I have called you all once more to reconvene to make a right decision upon the topic discussed at the previous senate meeting. There were too many fill ins with dwed who were not actually Senators filling in votes that went against their clans interests, and thus we shall re cast a vote with the 11 senators present to lay this issue to rest once and for all. The majority decision will win and will be final.

Zahrer shakes his head with a look of displeasure crossing his face. He straightens in his chair and clears his throat before speaking. "Th' fact tha' weh mus' even consideh t'is is silleh. As he finishes he leans back in his chair again, his fingers tracing along the runes of his staff as he waits for the final decision.

Gorum looks at each Dwarf individually before slamming his fist against the table.

 

"Since I was a young lad in Asulon I have never seen the Dwed act like cowards. What don't you understand? We are bound by HONOUR! Courland was there for us when we needed it most, they fought and BLED alongside us. Haense did nothing but disrespect us, our relics, and our people. "

 

Gorum stands up abruptly, making his way to the Senate door.

 

"I will not hold this against you. But I choose to remember who helped us, I choose to honour the lads I fought alongside in the war against Oren."

 

Gorum opens the door, stepping halfway out the door before speaking.

 

"You have all clearly made up your minds. However, I choose to keep my honour intact. I vote war."

 

Gorum exits the building.

Morug Goldhand slams his axe into the ground to gain the people's attention and leans onto it hold himself up. "I can't believe any of ye... We are abandoning our allies because ye are all scared of getting eh scratch on yer golden suits." He looks to the Irongrinder senator, "Ye... Yer kind sit in yer floating city and contribute nething te our people. And ye even charged us fer cannons when we needed them to go to war." He turns to the Ironguts, "Ye leave our people to hide on yer focken keep on an island, why do ye 'ave eh word in this. Ye even keep our relics te yerself because of yer greed" He then finally turns to the king, "And ye... I will nay stand silent as ye abandon our allies because ye are cowering behind yer senate." Morug then lifts his axe back up, spitting onto the ground, "I'll be recruiting our brave fighters as mercenaries to actually 'elp our allies while you cowards do nothing for another 10 years of peace". He walks out of the room, disappointment filling his face.

Kerwyr Frostbeard steps forth, looking into the eyes of his “allies”, those whom he trusted to vote in the best interest of the Kingdom. But now he knew. He saw that the Mountain Alliance was a sham, a simple construct to sap the Frostbeards of power. Stepping forth he would look up at the King, thrusting a fist forward.

Tark Treebeard strolls into the Dwarven City, new and unseen by his eyes, and is met by his good friend Mafraedon Starbreaker.  They catch up for a bit in the tavern and Maf informs him of the current events.  Tark immediately stands up and rushes from the room toward the Grand King's Hall.  Approaching Bastion, he states "Ah believe oi could speak fer t'e Treebeards of Axios, aldo' we may not be recognized as a clan an'ehmore, oI woul' still like tah say tha' I stand fer peace in Urguan.  And oI em sure tha' an'eh other Treebeard will say tha same."

Although also unwarranted, Grojak Treebeard the Clan Father of the Treebeards watches from afar, approving of Tark's voice he continues on his way living in peace and harmony. (Rep me or you'll have to deal with the treebeards again)
