Lefty 1696 Share Posted March 17, 2017 Mandate from the Obsidian Throne, 16th of Malin’s Welcome, 1603 With the death of Samsung Irongrinder II, the Grand Kingdom is in need of a worthy dwed to take his place in his former position of High Consul of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. The duties and powers of the High Consul are as follows. To stand in for the Grand King in diplomatic meetings internally and externally, when he can not be present. To officiate the creation and managing of Urguanian embassies within other nations. To officiate the creation and managing of foreign embassies within the Grand Kingdom. To be chief negotiator during diplomatic affairs, the voice of the Grand King towards the foreign nations. To write up treaties and pacts in accordance with the Grand King’s approval. To appoint ambassadors who serve as emissaries within the Grand Kingdom’s foreign embassies. Those who wish to nominate themselves for the position should leave their name, and a short speech on why they feel they should fill the position, in order to represent the Grand Kingdom as its chief diplomat. Nominations will continue for one stone day, and then elections will be held for two stone days. Sky 0 Share Posted March 17, 2017 I, Korhaz Grandaxe, nominate myself for the position of High Consul as I truly believe that I am capable of representing not only the Grand King but the dwed as a whole in such a high demanding position. Since my time within this beautiful city of ours I have accomplished much, and have dedicated myself to the betterment of the city, and to our people as a whole, this nomination showing my next step in wishing nothing more but to serve the Kingdom as the loyal Grandaxe that I am. I believe that I am capable of representing Urguan and her children effectively, in words and paper. Through the ages, I have seen our great nation go through it's greatest triumphs, as well as it's darkest hours. I know, and have seen what it takes and has taken to establish our nation as truly the greatest known in history. I have always kept the best interest of this Kingdom in my thoughts, since I was a wee lad. Never once have I strayed away from the betterment of Urguan and the continuation of her lineage. To accompany this, I have been the voice of Urguan to our allies, as an Ambassador, for quite some time. I believe that I would be able to take full reigns, and be able to help Urguan keep it's mark on history as the greatest kingdom to ever live! Prior to this election, I have already built up a working relationship with the leaders of many foreign nations; having met with council members of Haelun'or, visited the ruling party of The Westerlands in their keep, and held long and fruitful discussion with the representatives of the Dark Elves. Not only have I accompanied the Grand King on diplomatic errands in recent years, but I have been negotiating treaties and pacts since I was a beardling. I aided in negotiating peace with Oren under Wulfgar Grandaxe, for those that will remember such times. In my youth I was both High Prophet and High Remembrancer, two positions which required frequent journeys to other nations and the recording of important legislation. I feel that all experience I have previously held will meld together nicely and make me a well-rounded, level-headed candidate. With my nomination, I would ensure cordial relations with as many nations as absolutely possible. I would use our recent vote of neutrality to great effect, allowing its momentum to continue and form various pacts and allegiances with those who are like-minded to us. "I know I have been away for a long time my old friend, but I wish to finally return to my kin. I wont talk too much as it is not needed. I have been loyal to our Kingdom since Athera. Gump 115 Share Posted March 18, 2017 the mighty captian grumbis would walk up with a proud look on his old face and say "I nominate myself for the position of high consul, my wisdom and great experience puts me in the perfect position to assume this role for the greater good of the kingdom" grumbis then looks around at the dwed near him and says to bastion "And as far as im concerned I am the most qualified for the position" after all has been said grumbis would then puff up his chest and slowly walk off torwards the port. However, I feel that the greatest bard in all of the world would be the best high consul. There may be a few chinks in the road, the biggest of which is that of myself bein' a human, but I feel in my 2 or so months left on this planet I am the best choice.
