[Events] Habitats!

Got to experience the Darkbloom Forest tonight and it was one of the funnest events I've been in recently. Relaxing and informative as I looked up plants that I'd never bothered to read about before. Not to mention the build is absolutely beautiful. Definitely a nice break from the usual more combative events that go around and I even got some unexpected pixels for my efforts. 10/10 would bring friends over.

• Where will be the habitat/What is the nearest settlement? : Right out front of the dwarven city, DwarfOutside region

 

• What will be in the habitat? : A few flowers, a minor forest, and some Karin and Wyrssa

 

• What will the habitat look like? (pic ref): (This is up to the creator, but maybe a small cave in the side of the mountian, a few extra trees, and some quartz animals representing the beasts.  As well as a few blocks or flowers representing that.

 

• Who is the appointed caretaker of said habitat? (If its very far away/hard to reach to, a staff member might be required) :  This would be me Rella101

 

• Do you have Primary Region Owner approval for this habitat? (If non, a GM and above will do) :  Yes, in fact you're already added to the region.

What will be in the habitat?: Boomsteel. A metal specific only to cold areas, and requires careful harvesting. The lore piece explains all of that though; and they're subtitled too for easier reading, woop woop.

 

 

What will the habitat look like? (pic ref): Pretty much like this; it's jutting / jarring obsidian-looking spikes protruding from snowy areas. Though there are also other visible indicators; again in the lore!

 

 

Who is the appointed caretaker of said habitat? (If its very far away/hard to reach to, a staff member might be required): Not sure really. I haven't spoken to anyone on it.

 

 

Do you have Primary Region Owner approval for this habitat? (If non, a GM and above will do): I can probably go spam the snow elves to see if they'd like it. Though I can't imagine anyone saying no to an event site. The second area wouldn't require a PRO, I'd imagine.

 

 

 

Due to the lack of visible interest in the idea and the lack of caretakers, this request will be put on hold until the three other criteria are fulfilled.

A quick update because I've been super busy with life and stuff, but I edited the main page! Removed the concept of caretakers, now just pm any ET/LT/GM and it'll do ^^ 

 

So I'm finally done with the Haelunor build! I call it the Amberwoods because of a plant known as the blazing fern, which gives off the illusion that the forest is set ablaze. Here are some snapshots of it!

I actually had a lot of fun here with this, got attacked by leaf apes and ate bubble flowers. These things def bring out some of the underutilized lore that's scattered around, making one want to visit just to find them or even create more if they can! (lord knows I want to just write heaps of creature lore now to add onto these places)

 

Keep it up! Bring the world to life :D

Is this thing still around? Can we still do applications for this stuff? I would like to know because I kinda wanna add a couple (I mean one, I'm just obviously bad at counting) habitats myself :3.

You can certainly still apply for it! I'm a little caught up irl at the moment, but I would be happy to work on a habitat if there's a strong enough interest.

Naa what I mean is I'd totally be fine with building the whole thing. All you'd have to do is check to see if it's good and would be fine to rp in and just put it on the sheet as another habitat. And also gotta find a good patch of land to put it on of course.
