501warhead: The race wasn’t removed and this just seems to be a permissions issue. Sounds like someone messed up the permissions and you just can’t make a default elf now.

501warhead: This depends on how we fix it. The way we have voting set up is currently against EULA. And in order to reimplement it, we have to figure out a way to adhere to Mojang’s policies, as was the conditions with the lifting of the blacklist.

• Can we get a status for players looking for events or for who are on the Event Team?

 
Cablam:  We are possibly looking into an ET modreq plugin. There is a question later on this. 
 
BlauSchlumpf: If you’re looking for an event, the best way to request one is by using the ET submission forum. Just messaging your pal on the ET doesn’t work as well as you would think.
 
501warhead: The Devs may look into making an in-game status just labeled ‘Event’. More may be done with it, we’re not sure.

501warhead: It’s a work in progress. Improving fishing is something high on [501’s] priority list. The changes will be made in a month or two. When it’s completed, it will be very rewarding to be a fisher.
 

• Could we get a genuine magic system instead of a series of staves added to crafting? 

 
501warhead: With this, the Dev Team has to sit down and try to figure it out and see if, at the end of the day, feasible. While it isn’t something completely off the radar, this isn’t a key priority at the moment.

LadyRebecca: While this is a joke and we all like to have a good chuckle about this, at the end of the day, I don’t see myself going anywhere anytime soon. However, that doesn’t mean that I am going to be ‘tyrannical’. Instead, if you have issues pertaining to myself, the GM Team, or the FM Team and the manner that we go about doing things, I really am open to feedback. My forum message is right there along with my Discord tag. Really, I’m good to listen and I don’t bite. Talking and communicating with me is the best way for me to work better with you all as a community.

• Are the staff going to implement the idea of blessing/enchanting items with special RP powers for minas? I heard that as a rumor somewhere but I've never seen anything from the actual staff about it. Which is a shame, it's neat. Just curious

 
501warhead: Interesting idea, but at the end of the day, the renaming part from VIP is very important, that money goes to keeping the server up. So while it remains a perk, we are not comfortable with people using loopholes to get around the perks of donating.
 

• Also how much $$$ for Joey's freedom?

• Updates on the new map?Has construction began? Ideas underway? can we get an idea of theme or size?

 
501warhead: More information will be coming out soon about the new map. It would be hard to say there is nothing happening because there is, but more will be revealed in the future.
 

• What projects do you currently have, or planning to have concerning or revolving around player retention?

 
Vaynth: The current projects include myself reestablishing the Tailor’s Guild, Leslie is working on guides for the Main Races, and Coolio is working on videos to introduce the Main Races. There are is a side project as well called “The New Players Event Project” that I am running and that has been put on hold as it’s a big project that involves collaboration with the ET.
 

• Aviaryplug in, is anything going to address this issue whilst the plugin is in the works perhaps?

 
501warhead: We’re trying to get something working but it’s a struggle. The Dev team is trying to get big projects out of the way and this is not a big focus for the Dev Team at the moment. It is a Dev’s project but he requires the whole team’s assistance but everyone is quite occupied at the moment.
 

• Will we ever see what exactly our donations are being spent on? As of lately, the server has been acting up, and not exactly having the feeling that it is 'top of the line'.

 

501warhead: It depends on where Tythus puts the money. We are trying to upgrade server infrastructure, keep the server running, we’ve been downgrading some of our services to match our current income. We had to downgrade our web server, but we are trying to offer the best we can while covering our costs.

 

• When will donations have worthwhile perks? You can argue that donations are to help the server and that alone till the cows come home but you cannot argue against a person's want to get something in return, consumerism.

 
501warhead: We are constantly trying to improve the Perks from purchasing, but at the same time, we have to remain compliant with the EULA. WE are always looking to offer something more to the donators, but we need to stick to the policies. It’s a process, but it's still being worked on.
 

• Is there an ETA on the new map? It's no secret that one is in the works, whether it is still at the document stage or further down, simply wishing for some transparency. (Duplicate)

 
Cablam: This has already been answered.

• Will the magic plugin that is implemented with the professions going to be officialized as OOC only? The wiki says it, but a more public announcement thread should be made.

 
Z3m0s: I believe it says in the description that the magic staffs say they are OOC on the item?
 
Teegah: Yeah, it says it in the description that it’s not a roleplay item.
 
501warhead: There was no announcement made but they are OOC items.Basically, you can’t use the staff for advancement in magic roleplay, but it’s a perk in the combat of the server.
 
Z3m0s: Big PvP.
 

• Regions, tiles, primary region owner, etc. All points of contention, however, I truly believe it can be fixed for the better, it's just how is the difficult thing. Are staff looking into this? And if so, how high up on the priority list is it?

 
Cablam: One thing that will be improved will come with the development of the activity check plugin. Once we have that, there is not atone we can do when it comes to regions. I wasn’t too sure what else Sky wished to highlight here, so if Sky has any more questions, he can PM me.
 

• Finally, what exactly is the priority list the staff have? Like, what is in the works from administration and game moderation? As in, are advertisements being a thing on this list of priorities, or is plugin work higher, etc.

 
501warhead: Right now, as far as Administration goes, the top priority is looking forward towards the future, such as working on the next map. Growth of the server and what we should be working on is always on that list, as well. As for advertisement, we aren’t super comfortable going out and looking for a bunch of advertisements as the server seems to be rather clunky at the moment.
 
Cablam: With the Game Moderation our priorities at the moment are the Coups and Heists. We don’t have a set list, we just go with it as it comes along.

• Why don't you make the quality of leatherworking armors based on skilllvl like iron armors for blacksmith?

 
Teegah: Because they directly impact how much damage you do, such as dragonscale and studded. It’s been like that for a long time.

• Is there any progress with a new map and if so is there an estimated release date? (Duplicate)

 
Cablam: Already answered.
 
Angmarzku: 2018.

• Would you consider stricter settlement caps on another map? To avoid the dilution of activity?

 
Cablam: We have to work through this once we have the activity plugin, as was said earlier, then we can enforce activity. But until then, there is noway to reinforce that currently.
 

• Has there been any development concerning a more global plot within Axios or is this likely something to be reserved until another map is released?

 
501warhead: We have been looking into ideas and solutions when it comes to the story but it’s been difficult because there seems to be a lot of flip-flopping. There are also a lot of side-projects going on currently so there is not a large amount of time being set aside for one major event. However, there are some larger events coming out, so look forward to those soon.
 

• Are the ET and the combined LT/MT working to revamp the way in which events are used to engage the community?

 
BlauSchlumpf: Yeah.Currently, the management of both teams are working close together. Some of you may have seen the ET lead's event for the dwarves when it came down to the ancient tombs and such. But yes, currently the LT and ET are hard at work combining the Lore and Events together.
 

• Has player retention yet been improved?

 
Vaynth: We have not been keeping track of player retention in quite some time now, unfortunately. However, I will begin to start collecting data myself. It’s difficult to get the all the numbers together, but it will be done.
 
501warhead: I have seen more retention when it comes to the new players. It’s a matter more of how many are we gaining in comparison to how many are we losing. As well, the Dev team will be helping the AT out later on when it comes to how many new players we have kept around with some plugins.
 

• Has the AT managed to implement the buddying system, of sorts, in a functional fashion? What projects have been completed by the managers recently?

 
Vaynth: No projects have been completed yet. For the buddying system, Rella has created the New Players Discord which has been working very well to help players get to know the server better. There were quite a few volunteers for that.
 

• Why do I only ever hear people complaining about the staff teams despite all the mass purges? Am I being pounded with biased voices or are things still not at a satisfactory standard?

 
501warhead: We have been overlooking the staff purges. We’ve been keeping an eye on the teams that have done a purge and helping to reconstruct the issues on why the purge even took place. I’m not sure about the concerns with the teams that have been purged, but we are still monitoring the teams.
 

• Where is all the RP these days? Like, seriously, where are you all? I can never find anyone and no one will help. Please. I've only been gone two months.

 
Angmarzku: The Druids.
 
Z3m0s: Lot’s of people inSutica.
 
Cablam: The dwarves are in a state of turmoil. And Courland still has a few people.
 
501warhead: There are hotspots, but Axios is very large. It’s hard to have roleplay outside of the capitals.

• Will there be more 'balancing' of certain skills? Not long ago Lumberjack got hugely nerfed in my point of view because of the CT prices for the wood and branches being lowered. In my opinion, this was nerfed too much, also other skills like Fisher or Woodworker should be made more useful. I'm pretty sure more people would like to see things balanced out a little better, so will this be looked into?

 
501warhead: It's a  constant effort to balance skills. There are some low-end skills that are just not great. But we are aware of these and are always trying to add features to them. Gathering skills have the benefits of caskets and are superior at the moment while fishing just does not work well.

• After going on an exploration trip through half ofTahn and seeing so many dead settlements, could it be possible for there to be ruins that people can explore and find things in? And it could possibly have ET that run the ruins

 
Cablam: This once again goes hand-in-hand with the development of the activity plugin. If we can’t check if a settlement is being used actively, then we can’t just take it away from somebody. This likely will not happen this map.
 
Anadunae: If we are having ruins set in place the only benefit we would be looking for would be a few unlocked chest with aesthetic items in them.
 
BlauSchlumpf: For ruins events, we still have to check if there is activity for us to use them. But you are always open to having requests for these things and we are willing to check and see if these places are still being used. For example, the Westerlands is a giant ruin. Making a modreq is always a viable means of requesting.
 
Cablam: If you have a region that you don’t want to use anymore and want to be rid of it, contact me or another GM and we can hand it over to the ET who can ruinate it make it into an event site.
 
Spoduminister: Just to mention it, but if your region is not inactive but you still want to go ahead and make it into an event region, ruinated or no, get in touch with the PRO and the ET and we will see what we can do.

• I'm still a bit lost on how a Half-Elf should properly look and how the curse's effect them.

 
Angmarzku: You get both curses.
 
Fitermon: In terms of appearance, it depends on the mix of the parent races. So while you may have the curse of one race, you will also have the elven curse of being incredibly infertile.

501warhaed: There are quite a few people who go mob hunting. They add something to do when you’re not roleplay. While this may be inconvenient, they will be staying.
 
Teegah: They also can be turned off in regions if you’re a region owner and it can be turned off in regions if you modreq a GM.

501warhead: Repair timers are being considered. The big thing with the timers is that we want the tools and weapons to break. The goal is to have pieces and sets break down so that the economy can continue to grow. Messing around with the timers may be a detriment to this so it’s not something being worked on at this time.
 

• How do the new magic staffs and crystals work? I heard that the crystals were the ammo and you could shoot fireballs or whatever with the staffs, but I have staffs and crystals and nothing is happening.

501warhead: What happened is that the dynamap plugin is not communicating with the website and this is an issue that can only be dealt with by Tythus. Currently, however, we are planning on updating to a higher resolution dynamap that will have higher details and such.

• Do the staff have anything in mind with respect to balancing pvp?

 
Teegah: This is something that is continuously being balanced and worked on. There are always tweaks and changes being made to help make it better. It’s not just something that can be fixed in one month, it’s a process. Any big problem that is discovered is usually changed and fixed rather quickly when it’s brought forward to the Dev Team. With updates concerning that, the only thing at the moment is that there may be another archer nerf coming soon.

• Will the staff ever have an anti-hack system?

 
501warhead: We already have one.

• If mass producing training sticks lagged the server, why remove them when people are now going to grind other things that take more items that lag the server even harder and also you're losing income.

 
501warhead: Crafting training sticks were not the issue causing server lag. It was the mass production and having the hundreds of training sticks popping out of your inventories and causing entity lag that was hurting the server so bad. There were instances where it was taking almost 5 ticks taken off the server just by how many training sticks were laying on the ground. So, they were nerved as grinding a profession that lags the server doesn’t work well.

• How often does the Magic Team re-evaluate the fairness of magics?

 
Fitermon: It depends on the magic.The MT try to evaluate and judge the fairness of magic as they go as well as looking over any rewrites that are brought forward. But at the end of the day, it weighs heavily on what the magic is, what it does, how it’s being used in RP, and what are the advantages/disadvantages that the magic contains. If there is a problem, we do try to find ways to fix it one way or another.

• Why are large plugins focused on instead of smaller ones? Larger plugins tend to not have the backing of the coding staff and lose steam fairly earlier in contrast to smaller plugins like the hookah plugin which progresses rp on the server, though small, effectively.

 
501warhead: It depends on the time frame we have. It’s not a case of implementing large plugins but trying to overhaul the larger ones so that the results will prove to have a benefit. We also focus on bringing on a plugin that handles regions a bit better. We work on changes that require a lot of code, but they do help improve the server.

• Why is the MT lackluster in reviewing magic applications?

 
Fitermon: It would be a combination of what kinds of applications are posted as well as what MT is around that can handle the application. Admittedly, the newness of some of the members comes into play. There are representatives that can and can not claim certain magic applications, depending on how familiar they are with the question.

• Do you think it would be possible to make it so that if a person is off the server for over like 60 days or a differing value that would allow for their horse to be stolen, saw quite a few horses that haven't been touched for a long time, one even over 200 days?

 
501warhead: Currently, the horse protection is being discussed with the Dev Team and we are hoping to come up with a solution with how to manage them. Maybe not with stealing them, but with there will be something. As well as the whole issue with calling horses in unloaded chunks.

• What happened to the tutorial island that there was a competition for a while back? This included a layout, race areas and stuff. A winner was declared but nothing happened.

 
Angmarzku: There was no competition but if you have an ideas or suggestions, PM me and I will see if I can introduce them.

• Do you plan to use the tile system as it is again? If no, what are you planning to replace it with?

 
Cablam: We still have to wait for the next map. However, we will either be using the same or be using a version of the same one. If we come up with a better system, then we will use that one.
 
501warhead: It’s being discussed and being worked out if this is what we will use. We are trying to improve the system and we will work on it to see if it would be a benefit to LoTC.

Cablam: No. Keep it in your chest if you want to keep it or we will take it and destroy it.

• Regarding the recent addition of Tents in the crafting Nexus, I think this is a really awesome addition, and I was wondering if you have plans to add more objects like them in the future?

 
501warhead: Those were created by Sporadic who is no longer on the team. Sadly, we just don’t have the time to be working on those smaller, fun plugins that we would like to.

• Will money continue to be used as a digital currency or will it ever transition to a solid item currency? I.e. Money Notes, Gold Bars

 
501warhead: When it comes to storing with physical currency, storing it is very awkward. As well, duping is an issue and that is something that becomes all the more possible with a solid currency.

• Are there any plans on creating a VIP Tier above Aether for those wishing to further donate to support the server?

 
501warhead: You can always purchase more crowns. There was a discussion a while ago but it was determined to be redundant considering we are still trying to work on perks for the current VIP ranks. A tier above Aether would be lacking anything impressive.

• Seeming that the fishing skill, grappling hooks have just been nerfed and the use of caskets for recepies have disappeared for the most part. Yet fishing skill for grappling hooks still require Legendary whilst lumberjacking only needs Masterful to use a diamond axe and earn money. Would there be a lower skill requirement for these abilities? (Maybe, Masterful for Grappling hooks and Legendary for using the diamond axe)

 
501warhead: The grappling rod will be looked into, but we are trying to help balance the fishing and such when it comes to being more engaging, as was mentioned earlier in the meeting.

• Why do some people's emotes and roleplay says get replaced with things that were meant to be said by other people?

• Why were fishing rod's nerfed? It brings a skill cap to the table and provides income to the server, it also brews up a good economy as well.

 
501warhead: It was a concept of testing it and seeing where it went. We didn’t want it to be underpowering, but at the same time, we felt it was super easy to use. There was no real way to build anything to defend against them so we added a few more logic checks to it and you can still scale walls if you use it wisely. It was just a matter of balancing it out.

• If we removed nexus, would there be a noticeable improvement in server performance?

 
501warhead: No. Nexus’ impact is less than or sometimes equal to 1% of the server load. Removing Nexus would not increase the performance of the server very much if at all. It comes back to Minecraft just not being a very well designed in multiplayer performance.

• If flame and fire aspect suppose to be banned why am I still able to gain it from fishing?

 
Teegah: It’s a fishing drop. We know that it’s there but it seems no one has gotten around to removing it. As well there are a lot of RP items that are just floating around from past maps when it was allowed. It’s not allowed in PvP and if you are using it the item will be removed.
 
501warhead: It was removed because it honestly took away from the mechanics of large-scale fighting.

• Upright Staffs with explosion orbs are really unreliable, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. When you put them in auction houses weird stuffs happens to them like either they won't work or they duplicate.

 
501warhead: We are continuously working on improving the staves. We want it to be an achievement to craft and we are still trying to work out the small stuff. If you do find issues with this, however, please put it on the bug tracker that is on the forums. It’s always checked and there are rewards given if you report an abusable bug.

• Would the et/lt be interested or actually willing to develop an event line with non-nation groups. Smaller groups such as halflings, dryads, kha and other 'small' races?

 
BlauSchlumpf: If you have any ideas, you can always send us a message and we are open to any suggestions. We also like to encourage people to help us along when it comes to developing events and looking over what you have in mind.
 
Spoduminister: It usually works best when you message us, even if you want an event line just for your group or even want to start an event line.

• Can the admins confirm the current rule regarding kha breeding with non-kha and the reasons for said rule (not that i think it should be allowed, just need clarification cause some people I know disagree and don't know why it is disallowed

 
Thomas: It's bestiality and bestiality is illegal. This covers all bestial races. If you’re confused about whether or not you can do it with it, make a modreq.
 
Fitermon: If you want to be safe, only FTB with Elves, Orcs, Halflings, Dwarves, and Humans. Spooks are off limits as well. Also dryads.
 
Cablam: Rule of Thumb: If you have to ask if you can have sex with something, you probably can’t.
 
LadyRebecca: ERP IS A BANNABLE OFFENSE.

• Why is Fi' needing a rewrite after it was fine for years?

 
Fitermon: It’s not a need for the re-write. It’s not a bad magic, but it’s not great. At the moment, the magic just seems very bland and non-interactive. It also unfairly targets dark magics as the dark magics have both holy and fi magics against it.

• Are there any plans to develop a resource pack for LoTC that involves texture changes?

 
Thomas: Ricky made a small one, but having a full texture pack is hard because you need an artist that constantly updates the texture pack to work with the Minecraft updates and we don’t have one.
 
501warhead: The biggest issue with resource packs is we want you to come onto the server with your own resource pack and enjoying your own resource packs. It also really hinders connections for those that have poor connections.
 
Finalhazard: The people that made the resource pack. Ricky has been gone for about 60 days, but I’m sure that Ricky wouldn’t mind passing it on to someone else if they wish to improve on it.

• Can we boost wolf damage/health?

 
501warhead: Might be an interesting idea forTeegah to work on.
 
Teegah: It might be something to consider to implement with the hunting profession.

• Question, how come when you use fast travels, sometimes the person you'retravelling with is either invisible for you or glitched in one spot?

 
501warhead: Might be a connection issue on the player’s end. I’m not too sure why that might be the case, however.

• When will 1.9pvp weapons be made into 1.8 again?

 
Teegah: What that, there were about 5 different polls in the past year and the split was about 70% 1.8 and 30% 1.9 for the community’s vote. I’m reluctant to making diamond 1.8 because there are people that still want 1.9. There may be suggestions on the forums in the future, but it’s not something being worked on currently.
 

• Can we please get a Drop down system set in the warzone, and allow base rushes?

 
Teegah: We are aware that warzones are not all that great at the moment. The drop down system was tried last go around but most players weren’t a fan. This will be something that the war team will be working on.

• When diamond armor was brought back and sold at ct the intention was for it to not be common and easy to get, however, they are seen in almost every warclaim now. Heck I'm even seeing them being used in basic warzones now. Was that the intention when they were brought back?

 
501warhead: There are many reasons why they were brought back. The primary one being that they were meant to be a difficult goal for players to try to reach. However, we were aware there were many diamonds around the map and that players would be mass producing the gear once the recipe was released. It’s not a bad thing, in fact, it’s better to give some worth to the rarer resources. When it comes to the diamond armor, everything is always being watched to see if it is balanced or not.

• Is it being considered that we might ever return to a redesigned post-flood Anthos map?

 
501warhead: It was talked about.However, a number of hours to reconstruct an old map would be nearly double than to construct a new map. It would be incredibly intensive. As well, the whole Axios event line, as well as lore, doesn’t really tie in with a return to an old location. Basically, no.

• Can we give dark creatures more PVP buffs so they can fight better?

 
Teegah: Spectre is broken currently and will be fixed soon. The armor penetration on spectres is broken so that they do not do armor penetration. Necrolytes already have 50 hearts and such, but I’m all for buffing spectres as it’s a rarer race.
 
501warhead: However, the races are not supposed to be overpowered where they are incredibly difficult to take down. This was complained about a lot in the past and that’s why the buffs are the way they are now. The purpose of the race is to augment roleplay as well, not just give an advantage in PvP.

Teegah: That sounds like a problem on the connection on the player’s end.
 
501warhead: It might be an issue with a mod or with Minecraft.

About three weeks ago I found about 30 polar bears but were unable to claim any of them as they had spawned naturally and not from spawn eggs. 501warhead: Currently, polar bear eggs, as well as llama eggs, are being sold at the cloud temple for minas so they can be purchased there.

• What are the top factors that are being considered in the new map's design?  What has been learned from past maps that is being applied to the new map in order to prevent past mistakes?

 
501warhead: We are constantly looking at the mistakes of all the previous maps and taking them into consideration when it comes to the map development. We’ve learned a lot from the mistakes of this map and the ones we’ve previously used, but we are going to be using these mistakes to help guide us into trying to set a better map into place.

Teegah: There is a vanilla mechanic where Minecraft made them only be rideable in a caravan. Therefore, we have to go into the main Minecraft code and rework it so that it doesn’t work that way and they can be ridden normally. So if the caravan doesn’t work, there is a possibility that the devs can go in and make them ridable.

501warhead: That buff already applies to the Dark Elves and we don’t want races to have matching buffs when the races themselves are very dissimilar.

501warhead: The main issue there was that if the Ascended did get their race it would mess with the perks of the player's former race along with their skills and buffs. It hasn’t been implemented yet as it’s just not worked out properly and will be more of a hassle than anything. It will be discussed, but nothing is expected.

501warhead: This is an issue on Minecraft’s end and is not something easily sorted as it has to do with the entities not even existing in an unloaded chunk.

501warhead: When it comes down to that, that’s something that goes down to the Lore Team. However, it also comes down to the players and what they give to us to look over. We have a lot when it comes to pre-existing magics and pre-existing races so for things to be implemented it has to make sense with what currently exists.

501warhead: As long as the religion doesn’t bring in magics, you don’t really need to post a suggestion for a religion and you can create them in RP.

Cablam: There is a rule about that and nation leaders can only take a certain amount of items before they leave their nation.
 
501warhead: It’s loosely 10-20% of the nation's storage that they are permitted to take while an Administrator is overseeing it.
