Admin Announcements & Staff Changes

Recommended Posts

Heyo everyone,

How are you all doing? I'm fantastic thanks for asking. This post is here to outline the staff changes that have happened over the past few weeks.  We appreciate all who have served on the staff, past and present, and appreciate their efforts to help keep everything moving smoothly.

Departures:

With that being said, here are a few members of the staff who have stepped down from some of their positions.

Thomas announced last week that he was stepping down from all Lord of the Craft Staff teams. Serving as Admin as well as Game Team Director, we greatly appreciate all of the hardwork he has put in. He has helped shape LOTC into what it is today. We will miss you Tommy Boy.

Lego XBOX oversaw numerous projects during his time as AT director and is worked to implement data collection within the application team. We wish him all the best as he continues to work as a member of the Application Team.

Promotions:

With these members stepping down from their positions, it has opened the door for others to take their place. Below you will find those who will be working hard to fill in the gaps that are being left behind.

Vaynth.png

Vaynth has shown hardwork and dedication working with the Application Team and we are happy to announce her promotion to Application Team Director. Here is a little of what Vaynth has to say about her promotion.

Spoiler

I’ve been a hard-working member of the Application Team for nearly 6 months, and I’m proud to say that I’ll now be taking the reins as Application Team Director. During my tenure in this position, just a few things I intend on doing are encouraging communication both within and outside of the team, bringing player retention to light, and promoting in-game assistance for new players.

Edit: Cablam has resigned from all staff roles and is no longer in this position.

Cablam has done wonderful work in his position of Game Team Manager and we look forward to the continued work he will do as Game Team Director. Here is a little of what he has to say.

Spoiler

Hey everyone, I am Cablam and I've been on the GM team since December of 2016, have been a manager since February and I'm grateful and excited at the chance to fill the role of GM Lead. I have a number of plans laid out already as to what I'll be tackling as the new lead. Most of the things I'll be doing at first are more internal things such as creating a designated trainer position and pushing out a new and improved GM handbook, both of which will serve to put new GMs in a position to succeed right off the bat and hopefully minimize as many slip ups as possible. Outside of the team though the managers and I have already been working on an entire rule rewrite and overhaul in an attempt to create rules that better reflect and serve the current state of the server. Coup and hiest rules are still being looked at in detail, hopefully some of the hotfixes we made to coups will also increase their functionality but I also want to get a war rule rewrite going as the current war rules are, well, not very reflective of what the current wars actually are. If you'd like to discuss these few changes or anything else you can message me here on the forums or toss me a message on discord at cablam#3941 and I'll be happy to respond. I look forward to the opportunity presented to me and hope I'll be able to improve the server at the end of the day.

After a trial run of not having a Lore Team Director, we have decided to bring back the position. Flamboyant, aka The Pink Lion, will be taking up this position. We welcome him aboard!

Spoiler

Hello guys, some of you probably don't know me, but I'm Caleb/FlamboyantPizza. I've been playing on and off the server since late '11 and now here we are with me as LT Director. To put it simply, I aim at correcting a lot of the magic sect issues that have been arising, along with improving communication with the community concerning lore matters. I will be posting a more in-depth thread covering this next weekend once things have settled.

Now, drum roll please. Finding ourselves with only three Administrators we have decided its time that we promoted another Admin to our ranks. Everyone please welcome Harold/Demographic to the Admin Team!

Here is a little of what he has to say:

Spoiler

As I sit here and write this, I think about the days gone by on LoTC, and the 6 years I’ve spent here. Admins, although they may not seem to, do tend to come and go. Thomas was a diligent, and very hard-working member of the staff for nearly a full year. With his leaving, it leaves a large pair of boots that I’m not even sure the best of us could fill. The work he did for this community, and the greater server, was immense and his presence on the Game Moderation, Forum Moderation, and Lore Team / Magic Team, will be sorely missed and not to mention the hole he now leaves in the Administration. He leaves behind a legacy that will be felt for a very long time to come, and can be seen in the ethos in not only these teams, but the entire staff now embody as a core value.

It is my prerogative to continue this line of management and ensure that we are not only professional, but also understanding of community, but more so, player issues. I’m not going to tell you I know the secret answer to the questions you may ask me, or sit here and make promises I can’t keep, but I will try my hardest to do what I can to make sure that this server is enjoyable for everyone who wishes to have fun and enjoy it the same way I have these past years. In saying that, I believe myself up to the task and will do my very best to ensure that the server will strive to be the best we can be. Having spent a lot of my time on the Game Moderation team, alongside several stints in server politics, putting on the red coat I am eager to get started and hit the ground running for what’s to come in the next few months. Those who know me, will understand that I take this role, and its responsibility seriously. These are exciting times for those who have risen in the staff, including Cablam, Flamboyant and Vaynth, who become part of the server’s history today. I hope we can meet the standards the community sets us all as a staff team in the coming months, with many exciting projects in the pipeline, I hope you guys are ready. It’s going to be big.

As you can see there have been lots of changes within our Staff Teams and we look forward to seeing how this will shape the server in the future. Before we are done though,  we have a few administrative announcements to take care of.

The first thing is that we are planning on taking a 5th Administrator onto the team shortly. We look forward to finding the person who will help change the server forever.

The second is that we are busy restructuring how the Administration works as a team to help make it more organized and ease communication between the Admin team and the rest of the staff teams. We will have more on these changes once we have finished implementing them.

With that being said, thats...about it. I hope you all continue to do well in the future and continue to enjoy roleplaying on Lord of the Craft.

Au Revoir,

Beast720 and the Admin Team
