Hello everyone! The Villain Team has been looking at the responses to the [Your View] thread that was placed up just over a week ago now and we've finally made some changes based on your feedback!

 

  • There is now a hidden location on each map that sells lockpicks.
    • Locations that previously sold lockpicks have been removed.
    • (I know some haven't, but if you know of any please message me where it is.)

 

  • The price of lockpicks is now 35 Minas.
    • Moved down from 50 minas.

 

  • It is now required that for each roll a player does when lockpicking/breaking a door they must emote.
    • GMs will now also be able to emote sounds etc (like a mini event) in correspondence to the emotes you perform whilst lockpicking/breaking down a door.
    • The more descriptive your emote is the lower the radius and the less descriptive the GMs emote will be.
      • An example could be a GM emoting a large sound as you try to bash down a door.

+1 I like this update, it encourage better emotes and it helps both sides of being either a guard or a villain!  this update for sure put a smile on my face, I might one day try villain rp.

this is dumb. why waste time with so many emotes when the only one seeing them is the gm who just wants to get on to his next modreq or back to rp?

the gm isn't there to roleplay with you, the gm is there to moderate and has other modreqs to get to. i mean if you really jizz at overly lengthy emotes and don't give a flying **** about your quota or your own rp, then sure ill write a little novella for you about me unlocking the door. but it's just a waste of time otherwise

Am I still able to break down doors with telekinesis? And does that require a gm? I'd prefer if you could consult the magic team before answering as I have had incorrect answers regarding my magic from multiple GMs only to later consult magic guys and be told the GMs don't know what they're talking about.

A part of our job is our quotas, yes. However, another part of our job is to provide an enjoyable experience for the people on the server. Villainy is based on roleplay, not rolls. It's the experience of progressing your character into a theif or possibly a murderer or the like. As a GM we're meant to cater to the community's needs and sure we have modreq's and the like to do, but it gives the GM team a negative look if we just do our jobs in a lackluster way. I'm sorry you feel this way but the job of my teammates and I is not just to answer modreq's, that's not why we signed up. Hope this helps! Have a great day James and happy Rp'ing! :D
