Its Clear

After todays events its clear that there are a certain few who will stop at no length, and grasp for the smallest thing when it comes to "attacking" our group. Today we had 4 of our guys who are pretty high up in our leadership banned for what we presume to be glitched weapons. This takes place directly after the 3v15, where the 2 Norlanders Malg, and Silent. And 1 Dwarf MCPancakes defeated the 15 Haensemen; our men barely won but they did due to meatloaf, top tier gear, and strategic potion usage. Directly after accusations of glitched weapons were thrown around and one was found in the inventory of a single member of the 3 though the weapon was not the one they used in the battle, and immediately given to a GM (which was public knowledge). After that a few members of our group found out that repairing certain pieces of equipment glitched it (we just confirmed this with 5 axes, all 5 became glitched for each person who did it), duplicating its stats but for most armor made it unwearable unless /converting which returned it to its normal state. This glitch was reported to a GM last night and if the GM has had yet to report it, it is hardly our groups fault.

 

Along with that LeLapin wasn't even involved in the skirm, he's actually been trying to start an orc group and has massed a decent sized clan already, yet he was banned with the 3 for what seems to be the same reason. We also just learned that all our gear has been taken, but apparently its being given back because it was glitched? If our gear was glitched because of some off chance while repairing then it sounds like a mistake on the dev teams part and not because we don't constantly inspect every piece of equipment that gets circulated around for an issue we had no knowledge of up until we found it. 

 

And if this glitch is real why haven't people from other nations been banned? surly if someone had known of this it would have been fixed much earlier and not have been an issue now. If you're going to search every chest in our kingdom, you better search every chest in every other players house, keep, or city to find these weapons and those with them should have them taken too. I would also like to request that the haensemen's gear be searched if they haven't /converted it already as we told people of the glitch earlier. We are currently searching all of our gear, as should every player if bans are being given out for an obscure glitch that should have been detected by the devs much earlier on that we were trying to help with.

I've been in this group for over a year now, and I have seen many banned for just reasons, and many banned for unjust reasons that others would have simply received a slap on the wrist for. But I noticed that eventually the bans lessoned and we seemed to be viewed, and treated just as any other group. But now I'm seeing our group treated as we were in the past, the time in between this conveniently happens to be the fall of Oren.

 

To say that we were abusing these glitches knowingly is a falsehood and slandering, this glitch first most should have never been something that made it past the devs, and should have been something the community worked with the staff on, not something we were shut out of. And if you are going to take all our gear could you please make a broadcast telling people to not come try and raid, or simply bring toxicity because they know that we've been "neutered".

 

Norland will still bring active people to the server, and we will continue to try and achieve nation status no matter how many hurdles may be placed in front of us. We want nothing more then to enjoy our time here, but its hard when people take themselves too seriously or are unwilling to let go of past things done on a Minecraft Roleplay server.

EDIT:

Apparently a piece of gear was glitched on each member, but if we were unable to detect it who else do you think was unable to detect it. I without a doubt think that anyone who has participated in a Warclaim, Raid, Skirm, etc... has used a glitched piece of equipment if it had been repaired at any point recently.

Coding is hard, I know. Things can go wrong if even a single thing is missing or misplaced, but others shouldn't be punished for something that slipped past the dev funnel into the playerbase that expected things to work just as they did before the reset.

Eh a stat change on an item out of a restart doesn't sound like 'intentionally abusing a glitch' to me. It sounds like a bug.

 

It's almost like if we didn't have this nightmare nexus pvp we wouldn't have to worry about constant bugs and rebalancing.

It's funny how you made this out to be a server wide issue but then threw that all out the window just to point the finger at Haense. Maybe if you make a post like this in the future you shouldn't try to single out opposition groups as it makes it hard for people to take you seriously.

Exactly, we even brought it up with a GM, but apparently the (from what ive been told, take this with a grain of salt) GM and Dev who banned them said its "not their issue if the GM we talked to last Night didn't tell them what we talked about."

Just goes to show that Nexus - at the very least the PvP aspect of it - should be done away with in its entirety. The amount of threads that have gone up petitioning for its removal are countless. This only adds fuel to the fire.

I singled out Haense because they're the only other group that I know of that has been in a PVP event recently, and were involved in the conflict that I believe this stems from. Any Finger pointing I do, I do because its relevant.

And I do appreciate you only quoting me asking Haense be searched when I also said

Yes I do say Haense specifically, But I mention that Every "house, keep, or city" should be searched. After that I even say that we have begun to make sure we have no more gear like this "as should every player". I'm sure you understand why I didn't list every house, keep, and city by name and instead group them together, but if you'd like I would try if it made me be taken more serious.

I have been banned one time of Gryffing which is just (obviously), but the GM that are banning people for things like this...why? We dont ban player for using non-updated lore that should of been updated by the LT, why Ban these fellows?

I believe it wasn't too long ago oren was complaining when their leader got banned for blatantly breaking rules. Now when four of us get banned for not being aware we had glitched items, you think it's justified? We explained this to Onslaughted after it happened and he said that he believes us when we say we didn't know. He also took our items without any resistance on our part. We then returned a large portion of the gear we won from that fight and apologized for the accidental use of broken weapons. After that, we went even further and allowed them to search our vaults in case we had anymore broken items.... this ban is not at all justified and the fact that one of us even got hit with a 6 month ban is absolutely ridiculous. I dare say we should be thanked for making this bug known, even though it was unfortunately discovered after we defeated you. We had no intention of cheating in a fight in fact we never expected to win in the first place.

With the reputation your group has i very much have a hard time believing that you were unaware of having such items but who am I to say such things for I am a salty Haenseman.
