Apology on Behalf of His Imperial Majesty

Issued and confirmed by His Imperial Majesty, Peter II of the House of Horen, 13th of The Amber Cold, 1619

With the lethargy and incompetence of my late brother, John V, the Imperial Crown does henceforth forward an apology to the Coalition and its participants for the misdeeds of the late Imperial Majesty. We do recognise the mistakes John V had set in motion when attempting to coerce his ill excused diplomatic agenda, promising that such mistakes will not transpire again. We do recognise the misdeeds the Imperium created wherein my brother had set about political turmoil, spurning the fibres of warfare and bloodshed; therein, it is, by the Imperial Crown of His Imperial Majesty, Peter II, that I do apologise for the moral crimes of my deceased brother.

May peace be over the horizon, for bloodshed is unnecessary, and warfare is best set against the antagonistic forces of the unorthodox.

IN NOMINE DEI,

HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Peter II Sigismund of the House of Horen, by the Grace of God, Holy Orenian Emperor and rightful Emperor of Aeldin, Forever August, Apostolic King of Oren, of Renatus, Salvus, Seventis, Vandoria, Savoy, Mardon, and the Westerlands, Duke of the Crownlands, Cascadia, Avar, Frederica, Blackmarsh, and Marna, Count of Johannesburg, Alamar, Frederica, Krajia, Thesmer, Thelen, Lorath, and Cantal, Baron of Darkwood and Gravelhold, Defender of the Canonist Faith, Supreme Protector of Mankind, Master of the Lions of Man.

"This is the worst apology I have ever heard, do they even know for what they are apologizing for, or even whom they have wronged?" Sven says scoffing at the forced apology.

The laughter of a red priest could be heard throughout the catacombs "Do they seriously think that an apology will deter us? Does this apology bring back the lives lost? Does this apology correct the wrongdoings of the empire? No! An apology does not correct the atrocities committed by the empire nor will it ever! Destroy them! Do not let their sins go unpunished, they are weak and unworthy!"

"A step in the right direction" Arthas would mutter as the apology is read in the court of the Krag "Yet it would be far better if they addressed each victimized party rather than providing a watered down condolence"

Avalon Silversteed opens the letter and scoffs, "HA! Look at them, this is what happens to liars traitors and thieves! Oren is so close to the brink it is begging for mercy... they lost their chance for mercy a long time ago." Avalon crumples the paper and tosses it into the fire, "now is time to press our attack."

Also Master of Lions and Man? That is a long and really annoying list of titles, that one is the funniest of them all.

"An apology by his Imperial Majesty was one of the terms for peace." says Felix Fitch.

"What the **** is this ****, he spent longer writing his titles then he did the apology. This only shows that the emperor cares more for his vanity, then his apology. I'm not sure what's more shameful, Oren's army, or their arrogant leaders." Says a red haired Volaren.

"An Emperor should not bend to lesser men," Celia Aldirar would comment as she heard of the apology in a tavern, "How can he be respected when it is shown that he is weak and cannot fight for his people?"

"I'd rather peace than needless bloodshed and warfare, peace wanted by the populace of Oren and its vassals, no less." Ushered an aged man from within the confines of the tavern, callous palms clasped around a rigid tankard of ale.
