IMPERIAL TOURNEY OF AUGUSTON

In honour of the newly crowned Emperor, Peter II.

To celebrate the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, Peter the Second of House Horen, the first Imperial Tourney of the reformed Quintus Imperium of Oren is to be held at the Capital, Auguston. All are cordially invited to watch the festive sport to occur within the capital. The Tourney is to be divided into two categories, the Joust, and the Melee.

 

THE JOUST

An event reserved only for the Gentry and higher classed citizens of the Holy Empire of Oren. The act of jousting is an age-old tradition tracing back to the Kingdom of Oren during the Aegisian Era. It displays two riders pitted against each other with a board and lance, the goal to knock off the opponent with their lance by landing a true strike at their torso. The winner of the Joust is able to declare a Noble-Lady of the Empire the Queen of Love and Beauty, and a purse of three thousand mina.

 

THE MELEE

Unlike the Joust, the melee is a contest of strength for all men to participate and will consist of one simple event, a more classical approach. That of two single combatants pitted against one another. Each duel is until one party sees it fit to yield, duels to the death are firmly looked down upon and executing one’s opponent will result in one’s own trial and swift execution. The winner of the Melee is granted the title of Champion, and granted a purse of two thousand mina.
