The nature of Frost Witch RP isn’t one that lends itself to easy IC recruiting.  Most, if not all, of our current witches were cursed against their will ICly (consenting OOCly, of course), meaning that reaching out to witch candidates through purely IC means is difficult.  As a result, most new witches as of late have been friends of current members.  Though there’s nothing wrong with wanting to RP with your friends, the purpose of Frost Witch magic was not to create a clique.  In an effort to make our group more OOCly friendly to new players and those looking to join witch RP, we’ve decided to reach out to the community and explain how our recruiting process works.

Frost Witches, or Fjarriauga, are a group of women who were cursed, generally against their will. After becoming a Frost Witch, a woman will find that her flesh takes on a temperature similar to that of a corpse, her blood and muscle much colder than they remember. With the transformation comes an inherent weakness to heat, but also the power to both manipulate and create ice. In addition, they’re granted the ability to take on different “disguises” at will, molding and creating new physiques and faces to hide from those who wish to cause them harm.  A group of witches may perform a variety of sabbaths at altars, including healing sabbaths and sabbaths to produce cursed ice.  This ice is resistant to melding, melting and shattering, but extremely weak to holy fire and can be used in crafting powerful items.

Recruitment Info

A good witch candidate character is:

 

• Female

• Played often and actively

• Not connected to a deity (no Druids, Ascended or Clerics)

• Comfortable with villainy RP

• Understanding of current witch lore

• Depressed due an outside event

• Prepared to take part in a coven

• Aware that the curse cannot be reversed

 

Unfortunately, due to the Dark Arts label, people assume that we are a closed off group.  The purpose of this post was not to beg for new candidates, rather to explain to the community that we are available for RP, and any player looking to curse their character is welcome to message a Frost Mother.  Keep in mind that not every candidate will be made into a witch.
