Greetings LoTCers!

 

As you may have noticed there is a new feature on the forums which came with out updating of the IPS software. This wasn't explicitly wanted by anyone, it was just an available option which was happily accepted as we believe it can be used to do some good. For now regular forum rules apply, therefore inappropriate posts can still get points and such as they still fall under the forums.

 

However, in time the Forum Team are planning to review the nature of clubs to allow players extra leniency in what they can post within them, since the idea that keeping it clean for the new players no longer applies to clubs as they can't explicitly see what goes on in them.

 

For now, try to be civil, I understand it's an interesting new feature but it's not an invitation to be lawless. Please keep an eye out for the future as we will be reviewing rules for the clubs to be more lenient.

This is a good addition. It gives nations, groups, and pretty much everyone a chance to have their own discussion boards.

 

In my opinion, if it's public anything within the club should follow follow forum rules.

 

Anything in private forums/invite to join should not be able to be seen by anyone except admins. There's no reason for them to follow forum rules since nobody can see them except people in them.

Yes, this is an opinion shared by me. I feel it gives private clubs such as political discussion chats an opportunity to post more usually unacceptable content. However no matter what, a club will always have to abide by the fact it's a Pg13 server, therefore excessive gore and nudity will never be allowed for instance.
