why did you guys remove necrolyte buffs?

i think all racial buffs were removed since they only incentivised choosing a race on which had the best buff and it opened the gates for ppl aiming to abuse racial buffs for pvp (lying on cards, one day alts, all those **** bandits who play ghouls, etc.), probs some other reasons too tho

I think the Necrolyte buff was one of the last to remain but since all were removed even half-lings have the same base stats as everyone else.

All racial buffs were removed, and (I can only imagine) will stay removed. They don't work in vanilla pvp where something as small as 10% extra resistance or a speed boost gives you a huge edge over everyone else (fond memories of abusing the **** out of my dark elf warp drive in thales). Couple this with all the bad behavior that Nug described and the uncontrollable power creep and potential for glitch abuse and PvP buffs are more trouble than they're worth.

It was just a golden hoe that shot flames and did 2-3 hearts of damage IIRC and everyone had access to it MCly not just magic users (also that was in Anthos, my point is now that if spooks are gonna get their elevated combat prowess in RP represented in PVP why not every other group with supernatural abilities lol)

their inherent buff, when compared to dark mages, was that they're not extra weak to a specific type or magic nor are they the (usually and historically) automatic villain in a situation

Actually my point was that necrolytes shouldnt be entitled to a PVP buff because i firmly believe every other magic group isn't either, so its literally the opposite of what you just said. put down that strawman before it attracts crows bud

It’s halflings not half-lings, and I kinda miss the halfling health nerf. It prevented us halflings from being PvP goons, which is good because being a PvP goon/combat goon is against the halfling culture.

no race/group should have pvp buffs necrolytes included. we're not a server run by professional game designers and shouldnt tamper with rpg mechanics like we are

it was a spell check, but I think the Halfling buff was pretty cool at the time. It was interesting to see Halflings kick orcs off their farms
