June Monthly Update Log

The Boring Update

I want to apologize ahead of time as this update is going to go into rather boring details. Many Team Mechanic changes were made. These changes will be added into spoilers for those who wish to read them. They have been added here for transparency purposes, as we wish to be more communicative as a team to the player base.

Communications

Alterations to how to effectively communicate as a team have been made. These will assist with consistency in our work so that New Players are not told multiple answers by different members as well as allows us to communicate information between one another properly.

Handbooks

Our Handbooks for the team have been updated from one handbook into two seperate handbooks, soon to be three. This will assist in the restructuring period of the team so that we have a strong base to bring up a strong team.

Team Communications & Player Communications

Little by little efforts to make communication between teams & players have been set out. We expect to see more increase of applications and more play time due to summer so we wish to find ways to keep our New Players entertained with their time spent here.

Project Updates & Outlines

Our projects have either been updated or outlined to start making updates to them so that we can run them more efficiently. The first sight of this will be in New Player Discord as it is going to receive updates to its channels and roles.

New Player Data

June is an exciting month as we have reached Summer Time which means our younger players have much more time to play now that school is out, I believe we will be reaching more applications due to this. We had a lot of applications this month but the most applied for race is still humans with 53.0%! Elves follow them right around with 29.1%, after that dwarves come in with 7.1%, halflings made it next with 6.0%, orc applications with 3.4%, and kharajyr applications with 1.5%. This month, the elves and orcs each had a majority of applicants choosing a subrace rather than the default, which is usually only the case with elves; this month ologs tied with orcs at 33.3% with uruks and goblins making up the remainder!

Application amounts have grown once again this month with 532 total applications. Our acceptance rate for June has hit 51.8% while our denied rate stands at 48.1%. Please forgive me for the graphs not being seperated once again this month, I would like to do this for upcoming updates however it has not made it into this update. Americans take the lead in time zone percentages again with 65.4%, European hit 30.5%, and Oceania hitting 4.0%.

Member Alterations

The team is excited to be accepting new members officially within the next few weeks of July as well as the addition of a new manager. But currently we have not accepted any new members for the month of June. We had a loss of ImCookiie, Jollyb123, Lumiin, and MyLittleUnicorn. We wish them the very best with their journey’s away from the Application Team and cannot thank them enough for all the work they have done with us.

Team Data

As the heat rises from the summer months so does the application amounts, which makes quota drastically change for our members and they have all been hard at work. Wandering Soul chat has been incredibly active as of late and New Player Discord is filling with new and established players alike. June’s king of quota is…….MickMeist! Congratulations to MickMeist for making it to king of quota once again, he is followed closely after Punisher, who is followed by Boruto, who is then followed by MadYeAd.

Additional Information

The New Player Discord is going to be receiving an update. We would like to see stewards joining, nation leaders, & anyone who would like to help. We have received lots of help from many people and we want to thank them all. The Tailor’s Guild is being discussed between Managers and Director as well as Admins so we can place a formal post out to begin the discussion with the community. We appreciate the patience as we know it is long awaited. Bellamoor also formerly known as the New Player Village has been self requested removed from the Application Team project lists. The New Player Video is being discussed in between Managers, Director, and some others who we will not reveal yet. Please stay tuned on that as we are very excited to start producing it for you. Please PM Cosmetology if interested in voice acting (BritBritt#1506). 

 

 

A Thank You

I would like to thank all the Directors and Admins who have taken their time to welcome me as a Director and help me along with my first month as a Director. I wish to Thank Boiendl for their lovely PM they had sent me during my request for PMs on a feedback post that had gone out. Of course I want to thank Sporadic, Freja, & Llir where would we be without their help? As well as I wish to thank my manager Torkoal for being strong and helping sort throughout this months work and a thanks to my members who have been incredibly productive and active working throughout this transitional time for us.

Out of 256 Denied Players, 214 (~84%) were denied outright, while 42 (~16%) were placed on pending and denied due to the timer expiring.

Out of 214 denied players, without being placed on pending, 148 (~69%) were guests.

To break down the numbers a little more, there were 138 pending applications in June, and 394 that went straight to either accepted or denied. If guest accounts were removed from that list, which do not have the option to be placed on pending, the ratio drops to 138 pending applications and 191 accepted/denied straight away. Doing a quick calculation, roughly 42% of applications go on pending (This statistic has held true in previous months this calculation was done, with always hovering within 1-2 points on either end of the 40% mark). With that statistic in mind, there were about 85 players who applied as guest accounts and were denied without the opportunity to edit their applications.

 

Synopsis

 

Guest accounts have just about a 75% denial rate, and make up about 70% of the denial numbers in the month of june, or about 60% if you factor in players who were able to edit their applications and chose not to.

These numbers were counted and calculated without fancy spreadsheeting to separate guest data from regular data, I am more than willing to admit a fair chance that somewhere data was skewed a tad in the positive or negative direction, but as far as ratios go all those present did not stray more than 1-2 points from when I made this same calculation for March. (That did not get released publicly)

 

I took the liberty to do this as @Vaynth I believe asked for the information on our last update log and our lovely director @BritBritt was kind enough to let me post it since we have no spreadsheet data to show the statistics.

Thank you for this data Mickmeist. I honestly just wanted this to make a point with evidence behind it where hopefully the admins can consider it. So what we're seeing here is, without guest accounts our denials could have dropped down to from 256 to 108, and the accepted players would still have been in the 221+ range. Chances are the people whom were accepted on their guest accounts would have made a forum account and been accepted anyways, and the ones who were denied on their guest accounts either wouldn't have bothered with the application process at all or had a better chance at being accepted through a forum account.
