ReveredOwl 5639 Share Posted December 30, 2019 As written by the Auditor of the Tribunal of the Canonist Church12th of Harren’s Folly, 1748 Dear reader, I write this letter today to all peoples of the Orenian Empire, be you peasant, noble or royalty. I write this to bring forth recent issues that have presented themselves to me. This war between yourselves and the AIS erodes at your soul and spirituality, every day do you drift an inch away from GOD and his teachings. Let us not forget the sin of Harren, in which he took an elven wife in order to secure their armies rejecting GOD and his aenguls in the process. and ending up killing his own brother in to forfill his material desires. Marriage is an everlasting union of two individuals before God for the purpose of procreation and love. Each party makes certain vows of fidelity and love to the other, and are thereafter referred to as husband and wife. There are strict requirements for marriage that the Canonist Church uphold, mainly that the groom and bride are of the same race and are canonist. I find it deeply concerning that for most people within the Empire it has become socially acceptable to love and marry somebody not of your own race, despite this being sinful. In past empires the very thought of such occuring was non-existent for men and women were truly faithful and pious. The Ten Tables, the basis for imperial law for most iterations of the Orenian Empire, outlawed cross-breeding and beastiality, such isn’t even mentioned in the latest iteration of imperial law, leading one to the notion that such is acceptable and legal. Just a few saints weeks ago I was requested to perform a marriage ceremony between Jasper of the imperial state army and an unknown female, upon arriving I realised that she was an elf and thus refused to conduct such a ceremony. As a result, Jasper had a dwarven brathmodakin conduct his wedding and later had his guards attack myself for refusing to conduct such a ceremony. Such events are very revealing as to the current spirituality of the Orenian populace, so enshrouded in war and liberalism that you knowingly and willingly distance yourself from GOD. The act of cross-breeding itself violates many teachings of the holy scrolls, for both Horen and Julia were humans, conducting in such affairs such as Harren, pollute human blood with the accursed blood of elves, orcs and dwarves. It is painful to see that even the pagans of Morsgrad do not conduct themselves in such disgusting affairs, purposefully producing deformed and cursed children for no other purpose than lust and greed. I condemn any notion that a union between a human and any other race but human is legitimate, lawful and moral as I would expect any sane canonist man or woman to do. Any who commit such heinous and uncivilised acts forever condemn their souls to the void and brand themselves unrepentant sinners. Cardinal Boniface, Auditor of the Tribunal. 1_Language_1 1671 Share Posted December 31, 2019 "I can't believe this man is abusing his borrowed power to publically shame someone." Matthias adds another church missive to the flames of his small fireplace, helping to make a pot of stew for his family. Most of his pots and pans had been modified so that a one handed person could use most of it, it was a lovely convenience. "Makes good tinder though." Cracker 4570 Share Posted December 31, 2019 A public missive circulates the realm in addendum to the Auditor-Tribunal’s rhetoric. The Basrid ministry stands behind the sentiment espoused in these articles – open miscegenation between pureblooded Descendants is an affront to Oren’s status as ‘land of the prophets’ and threatens the moral fabric of the state.
