itdontmatta 7192 Popular Post Share Posted August 9, 2020 LotC Map Repository After the LotC-hosted map repository went down, I figured that players would still want a permanent resolution to obtaining our past maps. This post contains the links to the downloads of most of LotC’s previous maps. Map Downloads: Spoiler Aegis – ??? I have personally not tested this map. I obtained this from an older player. I will be updating this post with instructions once I test the versions. Download Asulon – 1.12+ This is a fractured version of Asulon. It only contains the Cloud Temple and a little beyond that. Download – WDL / Spawn version Download – Full Early Anthos (WorldDownload*) – 1.12+ This version of Anthos is before Salvus/Kingston was destroyed by the Orcs. Download Late Anthos – 1.12+ This is the version of Anthos is right when we sealed the door to Anthos from the Fringe. Download Fringe (WorldDownload*) – 1.12+ This is the version of Anthos is right when we sealed the door to Anthos from the Fringe. Download Athera – 1.12+ This is the late version of Athera – the one we used right before we left for Vailor. Download Vailor – 1.12+ This is the late version of Vailor – the one we used right before we left for Axios. Download Axios – 1.12+ This is the late version of Axios – the one we used right before we left for Atlas. Asul Download Ceru Download Tahn Download Atlas – 1.13+ This is the late version of Atlas – the one we used right before we left for Arcas Download Arcas (WorldDownload*) – 1.15+ This is a world download of Arcas, supplied by Download NOTES: UNOBTAINABLE MAPS: The rest of Asulon The Verge (I have tried so hard to find this one) Thales Arcas (I will probably world download the entire map) Version: The version beside the map name is the version that is a minimum to work on. 1.13 maps may have corruption because of world generation. I suggest using a server for 1.13 maps. WorldDownloaded* This means that the map is not whole, and may contain missing pieces. The Fringe is the one most impacted by world downloading. Map Instructions: MULTIPLAYER: First, install Multiverse-Core. I would suggest using a server with these maps and importing them after using /mv import (map folder name here) normal. After doing that, install WorldGuard and WorldEdit and /rg flag __global__ fire-spread deny every world you import. Also do the same with the leaf-decay flag. If you do not perform these commands, then all wooden buildings with fireplaces will burn down + leaves will decay. SINGLEPLAYER: If you do decide to use singleplayer, or don’t feel like installing the plugins – you can just use game rules to disable these things. Make sure you are OP, and then do /gamerule doFireTick deny and /gamerule randomTickSpeed 0. If you find an issue with one of the downloads, or need help with something – leave a reply or message me on discord! I will be consistently updating this post with new maps and information. If you do not perform these commands, then all wooden buildings with fireplaces will burn down + leaves will decay. Enjoy! TODO LIST (feel free to help me out): Reacquire Fringe Download Thank you @Zezimus for supplying the Aegis download. Thank you @NotEvilAtAll and @Dalek348 for supplying the full Asulon download. Thank you @Mirtok for the early Anthos download. Thank you @LukyLucaz for the Arcas download.

NotEvilAtAll 9927 Share Posted August 9, 2020 One day, I tried to play Dalek348’s personal world download of Branborough. It was all jolly fun, until I managed to fall through the void when inspecting the mineshafts underneath the village. This is where I respawned. It turns out that the save of Branborough actually had other chunks saved on it. A LOT of other chunks. I talked to @Kaiser about it on Discord. He helped me confirm that it was indeed a functional map of Asulon, a map that nobody had access to previously. That was a great day to be alive. This is a thread I made about the map of Asulon I’d discovered. While it’s not the original thread (since I first discovered this in 2017), it has a lot more information on it. Here are all the coordinates of places within the Asulon save. Sadly, the Dwarven capital is only partly there and there doesn’t appear to be any Orcish settlements at all. Still pretty good though. If you were an Elf, Human, or Halfling back in Asulon then it’s quite likely that your home is preserved in this save. Heck, it even has the capital of the Mori’Quessir: Very cool city. I love it. A real shame that it looks so disheveled. Probably wasn’t having the greatest of moments when this world download was taken, or maybe it just looked like that all the time as some sort of weird aesthetic. Funnily enough, no matter how hard I looked, I could not find the proper entrance to this city. It just doesn’t appear to have any connections to the surface that aren’t outrageously long, winding, and confusing as hell. I think it might’ve only been accessible via fast travel. It has the Kha village too! Goes down quite a ways! While 2012 didn’t have the highest build qualities, it was filled to the brim with imagination! Here’s Malinor: Some bits of it burned down on my save because I couldn’t do /gamerule doFireTick false fast enough! A whole lot of wood with fireplaces galore is bound to ruin any world download if you don’t do /gamerule doFireTick ASAP. I give all credit for this save’s existence to Dalek348. He made the world download, after all. He also helped find coordinates of all the cities that were preserved on this save. A true epic gamer indeed.

I’ve found that 1.12 works just fine, so if you use that version, I doubt you’ll have too many issues.
NotEvilAtAll 9927 Share Posted December 14, 2020 do you have a download of Arcas right now, or did worlddownloader give you troubles? I personally couldn't find a good download of an updated worlddownloader so I was unable to do anything myself, so I'm wondering if you had better luck.
