An Oath Broken

The Countess of Halstaig stood in the crowd as she watch the life drain out of the Nordlings, her uniform still drenched from the skirmish prior and her sword still bloodied from taking stabs at the enemies. "Truly a loss for the Northerners, even they're bound to recognize it as such." With that she'd pause, her gaze fixating to the bodys of the slain Nordlings being dragged out of the Bastion "Norland is not what it once was, the once proud nation led by Duke Godric, now led by a Chieftain who sends his men to die daily."

Silence came upon the girl at the forceful recollection of memories. Quickly followed by that of frowned lips. Her face, turned pale, gazed upwards to the sky that hung over Elysium.

A boot came crashing against a stoney floor below, the crashing noise breaking any sense of peaceful semblance that hung around her. Behind the anger, a rather dishevelled Mary Amaricius, let a sigh out from betwixt lips.

The only words she could find herself forming was a rather long, and vile slurry of obscene slurs. . . directed at a rather specific ISA-man.

The Leader of Elysium mourns the losses his people amounted. He directs measures. He tries his best for the community.

He'll tell his own family in turn, his demeanor stricken in grief.

"Our position on condemning the execution of Orenian civilians remains unchanging.  Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories with our friends there survive in time of sorrow. Times of difficult strife will have its conclusion. As long as hope lies to endure, Elysium can survive. "

"We not did not start this war, gentlemen," comments a man in a Sutican coffee-house, "Nor did we ask to be invaded by a hostile tribe of barbarians. They should remember that next time they bleat about facing the gallows, or the Imperial long tube."

"Serves them right!" The young Kelhus Othaman said as he hears of the news "Anyone that starts n offensive war against the Holy Orenian Empire sending their people to die for no cause, with no justification, shall recieve the same fate, as we are not slaughtering someone, but protecting our own people, something Norland failed to do." He remarked with a cold expression on his face

Valent stood by the hangings, observing the aftermath of the victory of Oren, in lowered tone he'd utter. "Justice to barbarians, for they messed up and awaked the Lion! OREN AUT MORTEM!"

Natalie Julia Beaumont read over a short letter which detailed the recent news regarding the war.  The young lady’s emotions were very different from that of her fellow citizens, instead of cheering or showing pride she instead shed a tear for the loss of life. “If we take enjoyment in the death of others, what makes us different from the barbarians we fight against?” The saddened girl would mumble to herself, tears continuing to pour from her eyes.  Clearly the girl’s emotions were different from the others of the Empire, but what set her apart? Was it her time living on the street, watching her adoptive mother morn the loss of her husband, or perhaps her time traveling? Even she doesn’t know, which frustrates her more.

After her bout of crying the young girl quickly moved towards the door of her bedroom, swinging it open and beginning to search the house. “Miss Emerentia! Miss Emerentia!” she shouted, searching everywhere for her mother. Her mother would obviously have the answers right? Mothers know everything!

The Commander In Chief of the Northlandgrad Forces, God King Laquinta, stares upon the missive with a look of disappointment on his face. He scratches his neck, awaiting what was to come. "Wi zhall peep weree diz wagh breengz uz. Buyt et izn' peepin' zo hozh." He would explain, going back to command the battle-hardened and ready soldiers of Northlandgrad.
