THE VICE-CHANCELLOR

I will not offer a lengthy biography. I am first and foremost an Imperial Citizen of nearly seven decades, of which roughly 5 have been in Government service. I have taken arms against enemies of my Empire when she has been threatened, I have voted for those I think serve the interests of her Government, I have worshiped faithfully her GOD, and I have served her dutifully in office since I have been old enough to read and write. The rest I shall leave for Citizens to discern on whatever others domestically and abroad say of me.

PURPOSE OF THE VICE-CHANCELLOR

It is a common saying amongst the Imperial Government that His Imperial Majesty's authority is absolute, but his presence is not. As Vice-Chancellor it is my principal responsibility to ensure the Archchancellor, in this case Princess Josephine Augusta, will and prerogative is executed in accordance with the wishes of His Imperial Majesty in the execution of government. As the Vice-Chancellor, it is therefore my responsibility to ensure that all of the national pillars of power, authority, and presence of this government are strong and resolute beyond challenge or reproach by internal enemies or foreign competitors - so that when they are wielded by Her Imperial Excellency or His Imperial Majesty they deliver maximum benevolence to our Citizens and friends, and overwhelming force on the enemies of Orenia.

A REVIEW OF OUR PILLARS OF STRENGTH - THE NEAR TERM AGENDA OF THE VICE

As my first order of business, each member of the Council of State is to prepare to receive myself before as much of their Ministry as they can muster.  They shall arrange a time to meet with myself and their Ministry within the next year, at a location where their Ministry regularly operates. My Estate in the Vale of Arentine shall serve as my official Office of the Vice-Chancellor and Ministers are welcome to arrange these appointments with me there.

This shall serve as an opportunity for each Cabinet member to educate me fully on the business of their Ministry, elevate concerns of their office so that I may requisition solutions, and to enable me to speak to each Ministry in its entirety of the vision of his Imperial Majesty and Her Imperial Excellency. This shall become a routine review of government staffing and efficiency the year following the summoning of the Imperial Diet.

The Deputy Directors and  Undersecretaries of each Ministry shall begin having regular dialogue with my office, as we share similar roles at scale. We will discuss how to meet their Ministers' concerns, and to prepare them for future roles as Directors and Secretaries as appropriate. This shall occur once every four saints' weeks. The Ministry of War is exempt from this requirement.

@Mirtok, @CharmingCavalier, @BobBox, @amyselia, @Imperium, @Harald, @Maevlin

As my second order of business, I shall travel to the Municipalities of Redenford, Dobrov, and Ephesius to meet with their Magistrate, Mayor, Imperial Diet Representative, and the Residents of their Municipality at a time of their choosing. I shall subsequently meet with the Lady-Mayor and the city government of Providence. This shall serve as an extraordinary opportunity for you to highlight the issues of your Municipality to be directly delivered to the Crown.Each Lord or Lady Mayor shall write to this office to arrange a date for this visit within the next two years.

@Matheaww, @UnBaed, @Azie

Lastly, His Imperial Majesty has further explicitly charged me to oversee the business of the Imperial Diet as its Presiding Officer. It is my intent to charge the Lord Speaker and the Speaker of the House to resolve two pressing issues that concern the Crown, that require the advice of the Noble Peers and the Commons alike and to which I shall discuss with them upon their selection within their respective houses.

As CEO Kosher Fier sits at his secluded desk, he reads the missive in front of him with great thought. “Perhaps this spells opportunity for advancement of the Company and the Empire.” He continues with planning, ready for the prime opportunity to flip the board.

The young Joseph Clement de Sarkozy would have a bright smile as he read the plans of the Vice-Chancellor; as it was him who educated Joseph about his namesake and it was Minuvas who tutored most of his family. He then started to pen a letter to Minuvas at once!

"Your Imperial Excellency,

I would like to wish you luck on your plans as Vice-Chancellor of our beloved Empire and I hope that we shall prosper with the help of you and The Arch-Chancellor; Her Imperial Highness Princess Josephine Augusta.

GOD save the Empire and may His Imperial Majesty protect us!

Best regards,

Joseph Clement de Sarkozy"

“I hope grandmother Crestfall can keep the elf in check.” Anne Josephine commented to herself as she reached the announcement from the Vice-Chancellor in her large stack of papers. The d’Arkent quickly waved over a Lady’s Maid of Sunholdt as she moved on to the next paper in her stack. “Fetch me a quill! I suspect some of the Directors will be desperate for workers. It’ll be the perfect time to find a job.”  Anne shouted as she pushed her papers to the side, clearly not understanding she is too young to work.
