A Child Honor Duel

OOC: This notice would be posted in the tavern and is written by my 9 year old persona, not my adult Fenn persona*

Notice of Honor Duel
To the child of Fenn refereed to as "Dyr", I Amura of Elvenese write this with intent to declare the terms of our agreed upon honor duel. While I am younger than you, your arrogant and insulting words hurled towards me and Elvenese unprovoked at that cannot go unanswered. I was a visitor in your land and you insulted me personally, my people and my ancestors calling myself "dumb" and saying that the Elvenese people should be happy Fenn was in the battle against Azdromoth; you further went on to say that if Fenn wasn't there things would have been far worse.

While pride for one nations is admirable, it is tarnished  when used to insult a guest in your nation unprovoked.

We spoke of our duel in person, and now I request an official lay out of the terms of our duel.

I request a response within two elven years either with an apology, of which I will accept and call the honor duel off, or a time and place you would like to clear the air.

The terms to the duel, should you accept will be first to be knocked out or yield loses. The combat will be weapons, as you bragged about an axe being superior. No magic, no potions. Axe vs Sword.

Amura, of Elvenese, ward of House Hawksong (age 9)

Arevthor Tathvir laughs hysterically upon reading the letter posted in his own tavern. "House Hawksong is endorsing an honor duel between CHILDREN?!" Arev continues to laugh, sharing the news with all the patrons within the tavern.  "Oh how far the nobles of Elvenesse have fallen to encourage their children to fight. A century ago the 'Fenn would have been accused of barbaric actions such as these!"  He hops up onto a table, pointing a finger across the tavern.  "I can assure to all who hear my words and wherever my words carry, if Dyr so chooses to accept this duel he will most certainly come out victorious!"

The words of the 'Fenn would carry far beyond the walls of the tavern, likely reaching the ears of many within Elvenesse, but most notably that would be shared was his laughter.

"To the death I say..." the 'Fenn comments to no one, rather this would be a thought to himself. Regardless he was amused

A set of confused faded-purple eyes look towards the notice in the tavern with peaked intrigue, the viewer muttering an amused:

"Say Snow is superior than Mud and offend a whole nation... Is this what the adults call being based?"
The Grape reminisces in amusement, before wondering off to do his own thing in peace.

Valindra's brows furrowed, though soon she found herself grinning wickedly as she began to search around for her leftover coin and betting book. She also retrieved some old scarves, mittens and hats that she would have someone decorate so she could sell child fighter merchandise. The elfess almost salivated at the potential for great profits to be made off of the exchanging of blows from child to child.

Air Evocress looks the paper over upon entry into the tavern, double taking as he read it and blinking a few times in disbelief "Children...? An honor duel?" The mali bursts into a fit of laughter as he properly registers what he's read "And its with that 'ker boy too!?" The man would be slapping his knee hysterically at this point while slowly trying to calm himself "House Hawksong has an interesting way of raising their young" With that the man strides away from the notice, still chuckling here and there.

Mavis looked over the letter with piqued curiosity her emerald gaze glittering. The elfess let out a small laugh before muttering under her breath,

 “Hm….nice one oem’ii.”

Mavis continues off after that, probably to prepare to watch

"Courage smiles down upon the bold and honor bound," the prince would say to the elves in the square. "The duel will be to first blood, I am sure, but to settle something like this in such a manner favors the one who declared the challenge. I have nothing but the highest respect for the mali'fenn people; they aided us immensely during the Razing of Amaethea and Prince Vytrek has been a good friend to myself and my people."

The prince pauses. A frown forms. "But the words of some of his kin makes my skin crawl. I pray the Tathvir grows enough of a spine to stand and watch the pride of Hawksong prove her point clearly with ferrum in hand."

"They speak so much about how to raise this child right, yet I can't help but question why they are instilling hate of fellow mali into their own young with such venom." Aerendyl mentions, trekking back from a recent sermon beside the Prince.

Evar'tir 'Kony' Oranor is mildly amused. "Everyone is a Elven pan-nationalist until a child says something they disagree with. Funny how that works." He stated to his kitchen as he finished brushing up on the missive Fenn published on the merits of Elven Unity.

Asula Hawksong chuckles in amusement, a proud grin on her face. She never would have had the guts at Amura's age.

"I wish you luck, kiddo, knock his teeth in!"

Vytrek scans over the notice, offering a nod of approval. "The future of Elvenkind is bright; our children already learn that words, without steel, are worthless."

As Kosher Daesmon Fier reads the missive, he laughs. “Not even my father was dumb enough to let me do this, and he didn’t even try to raise me”
