A Thesis On Haeseni

Monarchs and their effect on the Church

After witnessing how the Church has been treated by two different Haeseni Kings in my lifetime, I felt an urge to further explore how this Kingdom has affected the Church along with the history of the Haeseni monarchs; Either good or bad, and I have found a few and written some words on what they did. May we learn from what these monarchs have done. 

 

Haeseni Monarchs of old

Exalted Sigismund

Sigismund 'Soothsayer' was the only Holy Orenian Emperor of the second empire from 1431 until his death. He became a prophet of canondom, after receiving the Scroll of Auspice. Making him the fourth prophet as it was the final book of the Holy Canon. Along with this he liberated humanity from dwarven subjugation and united the realm after the cataclysmic Exodus. One might consider him an Orenian Emperor instead, as that was his title and he described himself as Orenian. But in Hanseti - Ruska he is viewed as a haeseni monarch due to his Raev heritage as he was born of the House of Carrion, along with taking the title King of Ruska. 

 

Andrik I of Akovia

Andrik was the second King of Akovia. After his death he became venerated as a Saint for having ended the Schism War (1484 - 1491), which had been lasting for seven years and had been started by the Kingdom of Aesterwald. After he became the victor of the war he helped in the reformation of the Kingdom of Oren.  

 

Kings of Hanseti - Ruska

Koeng Marius I 

Marius 'The Good, the Beautiful, the Exiled, the Young, Defender of the Faith, the Loyal Dog of the Empire' was the third King of Hanseti - Ruska. He is well known for having been the first King of Haense to have received the fidei defensor title after the end of the Coalition War in 1595. It resulted in the disintegration of The Holy Orenian Empire due to a horrible defeat and the blowing up of Johannesburg by the emperor himself, and as such The Church gave the title to Hanseti - Ruska. It was later returned to the Holy Orenian Empire after its revival.  

 

Koeng Otto II

Otto ‘The Prudent, the Quiet Crow, the Younger’ was the seventh King of Hanseti - Ruska. He was a man of Godan and created many hospitals and institutions of faith in the kingdom, he was also the first to create an irrigation system that stretched across Rothswald and Wickswald. In 1639 after the declaration of crusade by the High Pontiff Everard IV, Otto II led his soldiers into battle against Norland and Santegia until peace was made between Santegia and the High Pontiff in 1640. The crusade continued with Norland for another year until the new King of Norland swore fealty to Emperor Aurelius. After his death he became sainted. 

 

Koeng Heinrik II

Heinrik ‘The Tyrant’ was the eighteenth King of Hanseti - Ruska. He is best known for having orchestrated the Red Diet of Karosgrad in 1806, together with Emperor Joseph II, which ended up killing 3 clerics and 2 holy knights. The intention was to push for the removal of the highly controversial High Pontiff Owyn III by having all the cardinals meet and discuss the proof they were presented during said diet. But as the clergy were not able to fully finish their vote due to some not being present, Koeng Heinrik II ordered the HRA to arrest the priests that stood by Owyn III ending in a bloodshed as it earned its name the ‘red diet’. And so a few days later it was said that Owyn III was found dead and a new pontiff was made, rendering the red diet in a way successful. 

 

Koeng Sigismund III

Sigismund III is the nineteenth king of Hanseti - Ruska. The King’s army saved His Holiness, the pontiff Everard VI, in San Luciano’s basilica in the year 1850 when the Holy Orenian Empire alongside the principality of Savoy attempted to kill the pontiff. The BSK soldiers protected His Holiness by surrounding him and safely escorted him back to Haense  where the Koeng would protect him, meanwhile the Empire and Savoy decided to attempt a schism based upon lies from Michael, the false pontiff, the pretender. Everard VI decided to award Koeng Sigismund III with the title of fidei defensor for standing by the True Church after having excommunicated the government of Oren, thus becoming the second King of Hanseti - Ruska to bear the title.
