Eryane 3698 Share Posted December 18, 2021 THE IMPERIAL TUVMAS FESTIVAL REVELRIES OF THE DEEP COLD Come all citizens of the Holy Orenian Empire and those abroad to join in on the joyous festivities of the season. As Tuvmas nears and the snow falls upon the city of New Providence, a team of event planners alongside those within the Aster Court have come together to provide a series of events to allow all to celebrate the holidays and join in on the Tuvmas spirit of the season. Additionally - we at the Aster Court ask that, should you desire, please wear a Tuvmas hat during these events and outside of them, and to wear colors of blue, white, green, and red. TIMETABLE The Lighting of the Tree; Festivities in the Square [December 18th, 3pm EST] In the square of New Providence, all are asked to join HRM Empress Anastasya of Kositz, Lady Joan of Alstion, and the Aster Court in a ceremonial decorating of the Tuvmas tree following an opening speech. There will be numerous traditional Tuvmas cuisines and beverages available for all! Citizens are asked to bring candles to decorate the town square with and to wear their finest Tuvmas clothing. Gift Exchange Once the tree is decorated, a brief gift exchange shall take place as the people mingle and congregate about. It is asked that citizens give a present - of any value - to a person they are nothing more than strangers with. However, such is not required but merely recommended, and people are more than welcome to give gifts to friends and family. Traditional Tuvmas Baking Classes [December 19th, 6:30pm EST] The Countess of Azor wishes for courtiers and especially children of the Empire to partake in the gathering. An occasion for mistakes and lessons to flourish, allowing new skills to arise with those in participation. The decorating of pastries along with a steaming cup of hot cocoa will enhance the evening. HIH Princess Catherine of Furnestock’s Painting Auction [December 20th, 5pm EST] Following the beginning events of the festival, HIH Princess Catherine of Furnestock will be auctioning off her paintings the saint’s day thereafter. These paintings will be of some of the most major events of the prior two years, including that of the men and women gathered on the unification bridge. This event will be hosted in the theatre, for anyone who desire to attend. A Snowman Building Competition [December 22nd, 4pm EST] As snow begins to coat the grounds of the Imperial Capital, the Lady Revels of Aster Court, Anne Josephine, invites the citizens of the Empire to take part in a Snowman Building Competition within the royal gardens of Aster Hall. The snowmen will be judged and the winners will all receive seasonal prizes. Tuvmas Charity Jubilee [December 23rd, 6pm EST] In the spirit of Yuletide, the Madames de Provins hail all Orenian subjects to the banquet gallery at the Imperial residence of Aster Hall to raise funds for the leal warriors of our Imperial State Army, collecting arms, equipment, rations and the like to support our men in uniform in this time of great necessity. The War of the Snowballs [December 27th, 7pm EST] The teens and children of the Empire are invited to a large snowball fight within the festival grounds of New Providence, additionally hosted by the Lady Revels Anne Josephine. The children will be split into two groups and compete as if they were in their own war! The Nobles’ Tuvmas Banquet [December 28th, 7pm EST] All peers of the Empire, as well as their esteemed lineages, are invited to attend a feast to close the Saint’s Week’s festivities, hosted by the Baroness Carrington. The banquet hall will be lined with festive decorations, and the cuisine on offer will reflect the seasonal bounty.
