“You wish for atrocity - This, I shall grant.” - The Lady Tarathiel to the An-Gho upon the fall of Sunbreak, scorched in dragonfire.

A flame burned in the East, twenty years past its due.

The Sun yet shone.

Holy servants - resting on laurels earned, yet unprepared for the foe they had angered. A Fire of Regret, kindled long ago.

The Sun yet shone.

The sky went dark. The stars died. The earth quaked in fear and trembling at the coming of Him.

The Sun yet shone.

Bulwark shattered, stone and mortar rent asunder in the wrath of the Titan. Blood was drawn, and blood was spilled. Faith wavered.

The Sun yet shone.

Sunbreak hath fallen - and in the Knights of Order was the fire of wrath invoked. What was lost shall be regained, through blood, fire and darkness. Faith would be reforged in the flames of warfare, and tempered by the madness that dwelt in mortal veins. And yet…

The Sun began to set.

The elf who brought word of Calamity to the East once again had been made witness to the destruction foretold for Elvenesse. This time, it was the great bridge of Sunbreak which had been torn asunder.

Behind his eyes had been seared the shape of a ring - a cycle devouring. In his sleep, the Wheel-Turner witnesses a black sun.

Passion and spite begs him to march and to write, to reject the scaled beast and His children, just as he had done before. However, had he not warned them many decades before? They had done all that they could without the Sunlit Lord. It had been enough in the moment.

The clouds over the western Firelands portend further retribution - a bloody war in which that smoke and fire would seek to blot out the Sun for good.

"Yes," he decided. "They will have to be enough alone."
