Considerations of Life

 

8th of the Sun's Smile, In the Year of our Lord 1864

 

War. Conflict. Growth. Twenty-two years of life have been granted by God to myself and such time has learned a healthy standard for the term. At a young age since I was placed back to my parent’s side at their ascension to the throne to the youthful years joining the forces of Oren at the frontlines – experience that shall forever shape the man I am and will continue to become.

 

War has taught me that life is precious. That you should tell your loved ones that you care for them, you should spend time with those whom you’d regret if you had not, and that you should above all live life with no regrets. As the people of Oren continue to work together for a future in which we may all be pleased for the next generation, we do hold trials that we shall have to overcome. 

 

Two Saint’s days ago at the Imperial Court when I had stood by my mother’s side.  Moments after an assassin had attempted to end my life upon the dias, I was hit with a substance that had blown the right portion of my chest and face. By God’s good grace and the doctors within the Palace I was able to make a recovery that shall take several more years. In the time in which I laid down to rest, I had seen my Uncle, many friends, and, above all, my mother. I had taken the realization that my bonds with my loved ones shall always need to hold such consideration as I spoke earlier of.

 

I write today for two things to be known. First, that I am alive and shall be well, for that I thank God and the countrymen that stood by my side during the events. Second, I implore us all to take a moment to reflect upon where they are in life. Speak to your neighbor, speak to your friend, and speak to your loved ones.
