A public reply to Emerald Guenevere from the desk of Eugeo de Astrea

 

Lady Emeralda Guenevere, the purpose of the public inquest is to provide information to understand and gather the testimonies of all those present in the situation. As the Astreans and the Guenevere have virtually opposing testimonies of events after my familial investigation has been concluded, with both sides and their supporters spreading opposing narratives.

The power dynamics at play has been concerning to me,  especially for a trial to be called within the domain. But I cannot ignore the constant assault against my daughter by your associates, which have only instigated to gravest incredulous accusations such as her wishing death on others such as the murder of the Solros matriarch. My ilk is not for you to bludgeon and harass freely and idling by constant torment of my daughter is absurdity. We are being forced to protect ourselves.

There is no value, or benefit for descendants to be embroiled in an internal conflict, especially with the storied relations of the Guenevere and Astreans families stretching numerous decades. I remain startled by the turmoil, and desperate for more information than to blindly intervene, forced into the defense of my family in a volley of worrying narratives that I have only known to be untrue, one worse than the other; in that my daughter is firstly a voidal mage which none of my bloodline is aware of and vehemently denies as a result, or that she would wish harm upon one of our own allies which is prudent. 

Though your entire missive begs a curious oddity, for if you are righteous alongside that of Liluth Solros, why have you not brought Leika to trial but instead resort to sanctioning your family to berate and slander my daughter to oblivion? The importance of an olive branch is vital, and I will be willing for us to meet, and speak our minds freely within my home if you wish to. There are no advantages to this turmoil worsening, and neither for the kindred heart to battle one another.

Either your ilk back their claims with evidence and rationale, and call Leika to trial or cease with your insidious rumormongering.
