A Missive Distributed in the Western Hinterlands

There has been terrible chaotic darkness descending upon the Westerlands, and we shall need to be on the utmost vigilance for the lure of draconic vengeance has swirled the skies through the western territories. It is paramount to prevent innocents from being potentially harmed by the beast whose intentions are worsened by its abysmal draconian origins, suggested to the volcanic wastelands of the north-western regions of Almaris. The great crisis which had engulfed the Elvennese capital of old, scorched asunder by the draconic being known as Azrdromoth is fresh in the minds of many soldiers of the Westerlands who have put their lives on the line to fight and resist the destruction.

A menacing beast of a bygone age has seen collaborated testimonies of its sightings to suggest that it might be a Drake identified in older bestialities.

The Vigil of Light, homed within the boundaries of our realm has been toiling earnestly in preparing defenses where possible, and paladins and acolytes have been readied and informed together with a resounding bastion to reinforce against the draconic beast. Fire scorpions continue to be deployed as a matrix of defensive structures continue to be overlaid within the city and the mission has been expanded to even include both the Elysium Army and the unaffiliated protectors of the city. In addition to these would also be reinforcing the city reserves, such as arrows and crossbows supplied by the Bokolo Company, championed by the financial ministry, in a multi-tiered holistic effort to meet the arduous challenges looming in the skies above.

Even then, our self-defense forces prepare for our freedoms and to defend our hearths, finding new allies and leaving the opportunities of peaceful accords with old enemies that wished for the olive branch of peace. Together, with resolve and duty, can we ensure that innocents are protected so let us pool our resources, confronting commination with unity.

Amethyst shakes her head, reading the missive over her wife's shoulder. "You are not shooting a cannon at that thing" she states, kissing her wife's head gently.

A Leal Wyrmstalker raised a brow at the errant missive, knelt within the confines of the Urguani bastion the kingdom had so generously granted her ilk after the advent of Ruin's forces upon the continent. 

 

"The Titan attacks the Underkingdom directly, an infernal fleet is laying waste to the harbors of the realm and destroying cities... and the ever-passive and lazy Cloudbreaker is suddenly our largest concern? Even when Adelith and I hunted the damn thing, it didn't do anything of consequence."

Adelith slumbers beside her sunforge as her beloved owl of omens returns bearing the missive. She kicks a foot out instinctively, knocking over a couple of empty bottles that rattle out in an echo'd way within the cavern. Her left palm, covered with silvered scars, wipes idly at her face in her stupor. She'd read over the missive before falling back in her chair and simply groaning. 

 

"Cloudbreaker is big and ugly, ti, but by Xan there are infinitely more worrisome threats. What does the drake eating a few cows and burning a few fields matter when the undead and old man Azdromoth are harming the mortal plane." 

 

With that, the paladin of the North would simply fold the missive back up, tsking as she did so. Taking a sip of an opened Carrion black, she'd begin to pen a letter, much to the disdain of the eagle owl in front of her.

Alviss did not want to play fire department. Only time he does that is when he fucks up any of his fire evocation spells near his books
