Another important change which was made, which is obvious to current practioners as it's all the rage (even if not performed by most) is this one player event creature, which is described to be wolf size (medium) and it's bite force is enough to break plate armor and then follow up with ragdolling 'knights', I know of a handful of life evocationist which used or talked about using that as the base of their Jing summon, although never heard of anyone just taking the head/neck of the creature in a chimeric alteration. But removing this top contender animal causes all the others to be much more viable to create.
