From a young age, one is taught to study. To learn their history, tactics of war and how not to repeat the mistakes of others. I am all but thirteen and I understand that, as I do my homework. I study, I learn from my tutors and in class with my peers.

 

So imagine my surprise when I receive a letter, not for the first time but the second in my life, urging me to go against the Church. I laughed, tears springing to my eyes as I held that letter tight - I showed it to my Uncle, one aware of a previous attempt, and a man who tutors me diligently. He even found it hilarious.

For you see, Senora Sarah Artenin of Hohkmat, you did not do your homework. If you did, you would know that the last time this happened, I turned the letter over to the Pontiff, Deunoro I to use as he sees fit.

 

The same is done now.

 

I can’t say that you are unlearned entirely, you avoided coming to a trap laid out for you but it truly is a sad day, to see a grown woman unable to do her homework.

Shaming someone for trying to seek peaceful resolution is not very pious. That letter doesn't even have anything incriminating in it." Slowly, the young acolytes brows furrowed, "Pride and wrath are sins, and this is a fine example of both."

[!] "Thin Air" peered from outside Sarah's window, two orange dots staring into her abode. A darkened leather glove pulled apart the window, it's owner scuttling into the home to stand directly behind them- giving their good friend two apologetic pats on the shoulder before fleeing post-haste.

"I hope she finds a better tutor - one that will teach her manners, and perhaps when to not speak. I fear, for a girl like this, it'd be often that she was told to shut her yapper." Renilde then forwarded a letter to her half-century friend, and one-time pen-pal Sarah Arenin, expressing further disgust for the unnecessary letter.

Sarah one morning would find a new letter in her aviary, it were the missive yet heavily modified. The coat of arms for Hyspia had a circle of crimson around it. Curiously enough, if one were to look closely enough the new writing left no mark of quill and even if put underwater, the crimson writing would stick uncaringly to the parchment.

Even only as a child, they are taught the history and methods of their ancestors. To make use of the blade whenever they can.

Lies and excuses, attempts to twist the truths to tell their people the blade is righteous in slaying the innocent.

The copy of Sarah's own letter were left untouched by the sender.

The same is done now. The homework is obvious. She pens one truth, you did not do the homework, for if you knew. You would had known diplomacy is no option for the Hænsian puppet. Just as it is with most of their heritage.

Diplomats are not even protected by their ilk. She boasts openly of her dishonesty. Of her eagerness to spill blood those who would kill dark.

The horses and the crowns dividing the missive were left untouched.
