unless we take away mina from voting (dumb idea) or find another way to take mina out of the economy (kinda hard), upkeep should 100% stay to balance the in and out. though maybe at a discounted rate, idk

So being AFK isn't AFK farming, it's using scripts and/or alts to purposefully try to circumvent the AFK detection algorithms, making you seem non afk when you on fact are

Please Lower upkeep; it is already too draconic. While taking some mina out of the economy is good, let people spend it on things, too. As someone who actually has to pay for these tile upkeeps, I can tell you the current rate makes more than half of my entire IRP family's money go to upkeep. @Llir It is just a suggestion at the end of the day.

 

(And before anyone says it, remember the average player does not vote daily. Minxmaxxing should not be the standard for balancing everyday mechanics. I should not have to treat LoTC as a daily commitment to pay upkeep.)

And lo, the changes forces communities to get big or go home. Most realms at the start usualy dont attract to much attention. When you add the factors of Multiple personas, Time, and travel. Even with joining a realm this still feels like a kick in the nuts towards smaller esqued communities. (And with settlements/lairs still iffy, only makes it more difficult to make). 

Hate to say it too, but this server isnt gonna be getting any higher to a degree where implimenting a 10 plus player signature. More money? yea, i can see why. But the issue i can see is theres not enough players, who are already solidified themselves to a realm (with or without the /realm feature) to do such. Likewise theres nothing stopping old nation A from immediately attacking New nation B either with how factiony things have been on the server.

this is stupid. 
instead of focusing on aspects of the server staff can improve, they go back to a system that no one liked and attempt to improve on it despite community disagreenment. Activity checks are stupid. Tiles are stupid and tile upkeep is stupid. If you want a 'stable economy' (which wont exist on lotc, no matter how much you want it to) remove voting lol. As long as you have voting you're just making the server and community growth shittier by dwarfing the chance for new communities to rise.

bring back settlements atleast and a clear rulebook on lairs. 

this isnt preventing the current realm bloat to stay alive, its preventing new groups to form. while the current 'irrelevant' or 'dead' nations can just circle jerk their mina. 

10,000 mina and 25 player sign ups for a new nation just to grab a shitty tile that gives you no good bonus is stupid.
theres also no point having multiple core tiles because the tile upkeep is ridiculously large and /realm activity doesnt support vassals. 

if you want gameplay mechanics, then create actual gameplay mechanics. otherwise just get rid of everything and make it pure rp

I think settlements are awesome, nations can be tuned to whatever arbitrary systems the tech team decides players need to abide by for the next six months before they are changed again because nothing about nations work, & lairs are confusing (they need to be rethought 😃). Wow. I hate staff team. I love staff team. How does this impact haelunor?
