How come no one has ever created a brewery. I mean theres a good market for ale, who doent enjoy ale? but any ways, some one should create a brewery just because. I would, but I dont have enough minas. So who thinks someone should make a brewery?

I think its a step in the right direction. Many of the issues with the economy is due to people's preference to self sufficiency. Many pubs and shops provide their own resources, but it would be better for the world to have wholesale farmers providing for these places. Equally as much, a brewery. It would be very easy to sell it as you pay a price every week and get filled buckets for every empty bucket you provide, like the oldschool mailman.

A proper brewery would require a large area...

Not sure if the profits from a proper brewery that sells ale for 6 minas each would be able to cover the land cost.

If one can acquire of land to build such a project, the Black Cross Tavern could perhaps interest them an agreement to buy their ale if the wheat is bought from farmers.

From what I know The Thervings are supplied by some elf's farm, and I supplied them before that. They need wheat for the bread they sell and then they just make the ale when people want it.

Personally I think the economy is messed up because killing a spider can get you a diamond and killing a single pigman covers the cost of food for the next few (RL) days.

In my early days on the server, I ran two breweries. If any of you oldschoolers can remember, they were "Cat and the Fiddle Brewery" in Al'khazar and something like "Thunderbrew Ale" in Kal Urg.

I had brewing kettles and eveything, it was quite fun. I'd recommend someone try it.

And also, for you antique-hunters, there exists a rare tome by the name of "The Art of the Ale" that Petyr wrote around fourty years ago. I believe there are only about seven tomes in all of Aegis!

I saw that book when I first joined, Also, I had a plan to make one but it never went through because I couldnt find a good plot in a popular area. In the new map Ill attempt to create it for my dwarf acc

I have that book in my libray, and also saw it in the Kal'Urguan library under "fiction".

I'd love to see a brewery in Aegis, but it will be hard to do, as a lot of buckets of ale need to be moved around (quite an investment in buckets) and you will need willing tavern owners.

Now, for the real reply. I would love to have my tavern supplied by a brewery. You could set up something automatic with the autoshops, or maybe locked chests. There should be factories like this in Aegis, who specialize in one product. I think if Breweries, Armories, Quarries, and Bakeries popped up, and people were supplied by them, and those factories bought materials from farmers, it would greatly increase the economy of the world.

The current problem with breweries is that you can't auto-sell ale without selling a cup as well, which is usually undesirable for both parties.

My tavern in Oasis re buys the mugs for 90 minas, and sell ale for 95. It works almost perfectly, and I max stock so shmos cannot sell me 80 buckets.
