Estevot prayed for their success, for it would be the only path forward in Aevos where Iblees and chaos do not reign. But he also knew prayer only did so much, GOD works through people, and his miracles had to be earned. So Estevot trained. And trained. And trained some more. He would not lose another home, he would not lose his family again, and he would never again let himself stand by for any reason while tyrants of the Adversary threaten all that he holds dear, and the same of so many others.

Owyn Hector thumped his chest twice, proud to be a soldier of the Horenic Covenant; "The corrupt Lectorate will be reformed into the image of GOD once more, not the fallacy it has become."

Enoch lifts up the King's missive. "Good stuff." He stows it thereafter.

Esfir spends that night in prayer in the sanctity of Sunholdt’s chapel; a church that was untouched by the corruption of the Curia. “Let Godan deliver his swift justice to those wronged by the Pontiff. He does niet represent our Lord or the Canonists he swears to protect whilst also attempting to cut down with his heretic allies.”

King-Emeritus Ser Julian wore a near permanent scowl these days. Upon seeing his daughter's signature amongst his old allies, the scowl was briefly replaced with a softer expression of pride. "You will do great things, Amarantha. Delivering justice to those who infect the Curia with their Ibleesian disease is what you were meant to do."

"I'd rather live a thousand lives as an 'excommunicant' than draw a single breath as a tyrant," John II declared upon affixing his seal to the letter.

Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royarch, Iryne Ibarellan stood tall, her figure cutting a striking silhouette against the soft light filtering through the windows of the Royal Feast Hall of New Valdev. Without a single word, but a firm nod, had she conveyed her commitment, and all in her presence understood that the decision were final, Celia’nor would stand firm in its resolve thus would not be broken.

The estranged devil, Reinhard, smiled faintly as the missive. "Vy were a good pick." He rumbled off. A clawed thumb with a pale hand graced over the parchment. Then, jagged pupils turned off to the distance. He was not the person he started as. He was not a good man. He didn't care for the nation that thought he should be grateful to exist there. For what little he did still care for, his family remained. And, so too, was the image of that smiling young girl that declared herself unwaveringly his blood still a fuzzy picture, somewhere in his mind. "...Ich have vyr back, Coz."

As another missive arrived to her by maid, the sickly O’Rourke shuddered. She had not been able to get much sleep recently, and her body took toll. Einin wondered the fate of her best friend, Aurus, and swore that no war would ever keep them apart.

She prayed he was okay. @Montgomery Cobra

An aged Knight looks down upon the landmass of Aevos, sighing as he turned to an old friend. "Hopefully this time, they shall cut the cancer out, rather than let it fester." Commented that de Lyons of yore.

Queen Amarantha offered little expression change to those who were present when the declaration was made public; ever like her father, the young Queen's face rarely strayed from a stern expression or a scowl these days. "These past few months have been hard, the coming will be worse- But we shall prevail stronger than before." The ruler spoke plainly thereafter, the parchment placed neatly in the hands of a nearby cup bearer.

The exiled Kristoff grumbles as he read about ongoing events.

“Haense let Aaun fall without even raising a finger, they allowed King Alexandros to be humiliated before a godless pontiff. They raised no protest when the Church placed a regency over Balian, and forced King John to crawl back to his own throne. Only when they face the same fate they act. When the Holy Church has been polluted and corrupted from within, and marches against the Princes of Canondom with a host of pagans. Let them pray that it is not too late to save our beloved church.”

Kristoff glances toward a stack of old papers. A lifetime ago he had dreamed of another covenant.

”Let them recall the chaos that followed when at the end of the Veletz war, and may they learn that only through unity can Humanity break this cycle.”

Kristoff let out a sigh, reaching for his trusted cane. Rising from his desk he limped toward his bed in the cramped chamber.

“God protect King John, and Balian. And I have hope for this King Joren, better late than never, eh Haense?”

The Reinmaren Chieftess, plain and measured in expression as she was, upon that very night beat her chest with great valour. “Death to the Deciever, holy are the Horenic Heroes!“ Proclaimed Wilhelmina, shaken by the corruption of a Church she had always so admired. “Red habits and cross pendants mean nothing when virtue is abandoned.”

Andrei stood at the head of two Haeseni King's retinues; Karl and Joren, back to back. It was unfortunate timing, that a war would engulf his tenure as Count - but that didn't deter him. There was a price to pay, for the transgressions upon their homeland, upon their people.

His sword was sharpened, and the Knight Paramount prepared to set out for Koppány with King Joren and the Horenic Covenant, their dutiful allies (mostly) of Canondom.
