HEAD-CHEF Ugokoyama Bata the Black Leg of the Kaninokyo, College Graduate, Head-Chef of the Grub Bucket[TM] and Inventor of Fried Katsu, The Red Oni.
ADMIRAL Ugokoyama Takemura the Sabertooth Cat, Yōbushi of Machiman, Sous Chef of the Grub Bucket[TM] and First Templar of Krug, The Blue Oni.

Takemura was a free spirit, the embodiment of 'mind of no mind' as quoted by the Yasu-Tori; Danzen.
Bata was a free spirit, the embodiment of 'mind of no mind' as quoted by the Yasu-Tori; Danzen.

And so, the Oni had succeeded in their plot that spanned over 100 years, cook the greatest Fried-Katsu there ever was, and ever will be.

A Geisha would continue to mourn the dead. More Oyashimen lost. She knelt before the shrine of Uncle O and soon would put on there two makeshift miniatures of the Deceased Onis. She had hoped they would be able to meet one another in the Afterlife.

"At what cost. . ."  mutter the Geisha Hina. When Botsugo first shared the news, she had thought it a joke of sorts. She now knew it wasn't, and that the two Oni were gone for real; sacrificed in order to create the Kami-Katsu. In mourning mode, Hina would then place two more candles on her shrine for the dead, for the two lost souls. She then orders carry out Grub-Bucket to support their business, sobbing at each bite she took of the delicious Onishiman food.

Ena mourns the loss of the oni, feeling a particular sting at losing the war hero Takemura whom still owed him lessons, and he would have to teach Ahng Gulr now.

The Shugo stood beside the pyre that where Takemura's and Bata's bodies would have been given their final rites, in her hands she stared downward toward the dish. . .The Grub Bucket would never quite be the same without them, though this day were inevitable. Ugokoyama castle was short two of its members.

A tear streamed down her face though no words escaped her. She knew this was both Oni's ambitions, and truly that duo had done the unthinkable, and sacrificed their entire being for the WORLD'S GREATEST DISH. Silently, in prayer she pledged to make their final dreams come true. Mordring would taste the KAMI KATSU. . .But only after Xambala were restored, so that she could meet them there, and share Yubisu by the barside once more.

 

There were many things that went unspoken as they lived together, fought together, travelled together, as was typical between warriors. Their feelings were conveyed through their actions. The rest was simply understood.

In the end, she saluted Admiral Takemura, her greatest General.

In the end, she saluted Head Chef Bata, her greatest Chef.

Upon bearing witness to Takemura's noble sacrifice, Danzen blew upon the horns of mourning. With a visceral howl, Danzen lamented the loss of yet another one of his friends. He wondered but one thing, in his despair: "How many BUROZAS must I bury?" Yet still, Danzen knew that Takemura was free. Of Machiman, or Vokumi, or of any such Kami in the countless planes would he reincarnate. And that, one day, he would meet him again.
