I think houses should have a .5% tax rate as no money is being generated by them and thus it is harder to pay taxes on them. stores which DO generate income should be taxed at the 1%-2%.

The current tax rate is 2%, like previous people stated, people need to get jobs and work. The nation can't do anything if no one works. These taxes are nessasary and it gets people to work.

A tax system needs to fit the peoples income rate, like tax brackets and employment and the nobles should pay higher taxes than serfs and shop keepers because the wealthy have to pay more then the poor to maintain a good economy in the kingdom.

The average amount of income fir an Oren civilian is about 700 - 1000 Minas per week. (needs update) People will be able to afford their taxes.
