THE NAZTHERAK TEA DRINKING AMENDMENT

My only concern with the amendment is HOW this will actually play out. I think even with limits placed on how many, nothing really stops anyone from having someone make a throwaway character to become a Naz purely to make a CC, which, if they are only doing it for that sake, they aren't going to care for the state of the magic and likely spread it without thought on the quality of students, not to mention they can use the ritual to turn their own children. Personally, I think Polar's suggestion is based, but I would go so far as to make it that they lose 2 slots; however, when a CC takes base Naz it uses those two locked slots which will IRPly play into a temptation theme in that they will never reach 'full power' unless they become a Warlock in some form, and incorporating the OOC limits that Halfirate mentioned. Furthermore, I would personally add more interesting drawbacks to becoming a CC that min-maxers struggle to deal with.

Cursed children are meant to be a direct consequence of a Naz being a naz. Imo if this were to be lessened, another consequence would have to be thrown in.

@PrimnyaQuorumdo you think you can fit the void in this somehow? Maybe void born children to replace CC

This is dumb. I think this is dumb. I played a warlock and I made a total of 3 CC in various means. The fact people have the devil FA is a non issue, is it a real problem if someone else wants to play tiefling-adjacent? If it is is it so severe to the point you're trying to fix it with ooc means? I think you need to double check whether it's a real problem or not. Who is the one being hurt by someone playing a devil? Don't let one person ruin it for everyone else. Just tell the singular person to stop spamming the FA - don't ruin it for the rest of us.

The "only your first child is a devil" feels like a cop out to me, you're pacted to the hells. All your kids should be cursed until you yourself are no longer harboring the infernal. The fact your evil pact now effects the innocent life of your child is a cool dynamic. Now, the actual problem I have with this is out of the 3 CC I made only one and a half actively play. It's awkward to take someone's character away, and it's hard to predict who will be active or not. It would suck to spend your one interesting FA token on someone who plays the character maybe three times.

Like others have said this should be a problem touched on in character.

Also making devils through cursing and the bane already costs an MA slot.

If only the shaman community had this many players interested in it...

To be fair, Shamanism is in a vicious, sad cycle of "the lore is frozen" so nobody can fix its issues so less engagement. Except, of course, for when it gets nerfed and nobody can amend anything to balance out how weirdly Shamanism is treated compared to other magics on the server.

I think shamanism is cool and it deserves more love than the stupid nerfs it gets.

Dw with my Ixris , naztherak, spook , inferi lore rewrite all will be fixed.

Joke aside this issue seems really split in the naztherak community. Seems to stem from the lack of direction in current inferi lore. Maybe this will be fixed… teehee…

Amendments/Additions implemented into main lore post. Thank you for your submission. Moving to correct subforum to prevent redundancy and clutter.
