"Magister Iudas? I highly doubt that. He is a steadfast, pious, and venerable prefect of the faith." Parzival shook his head. There were no realms left to conquer, except for GOD's domain, apparently: the Temple itself.

Valentin Burgundy, on the path to becoming a priest, reads the announcement with trepidation. At least he was young enough to not have to worry about these matters for now, though the prospect of getting older does not necessarily excite him.

A young guardsman dreams that night, for unknown reasons, of shooting a mouthy priest. In the morning he awakens, refreshed and smiling.

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE HOLY SEE

LET IT BE CLARIFIED;

The priests are not judged by the authority of the EMPEROR. For only the Mother Church has the right to judge the priesthood. They will be judged by CORSWAIN whom is of the Presbyterate by the allowance of Our Laurel. Only a priest may judge over another priest. Their punishment shall come from the Church; not the Seneschal. We shall also be present for these proceedings. Neither, does the Emperor have the right to declare those of the priesthood ANATHEMA or COMDEMN unto DEATH. His scribe has been overly liberal with the interpretations of what was agreed upon. We do not comdemn Seneschal Hadrian for this. We clarify. Let it be known; only the CHURCH may judge those sworn into the SANCTIFIED PRIESTHOOD.

A woman with a vibrant red curl looked over the missive, she herself recalling memories of her interactions with Iudas. She shook her head as she took a sip of a tea. "What could that man have done to cast the eyes of the Empire upon him?" She questioned, a tounge click escaped her. Folding up the missive and setting it aside as she continued to enjoy the remainder of her tea.

"In all of this, The Elven Prince Galahad rightfully condemned by a very, very firm hand for having . . eh, opinions and thoughts,"

The Imperial Princess Joan spoke in her path home to Valentina @kuerbis,

"And  finally a Just and very, very striking Punishment is given to the Lord Baruch who dared to let his son find love and happiness.  A good day for our Imperium, What wise decrees my brother has made today."

At the behest of Emperor Hadrian's most vicious hand, Galahad was swiftly course corrected from such an erring path. God save the Emperor.

"The Church must have decided that stealing babies to experiment on to determine the nature of evil was too much. Thank GOD. Someone needed to stop that Iudas." Gloria comments, relieved that the innocent twins of Bron's wouldn't be subject to Iudas's cruel plans anymore.

Cardinal Emeritus Nerium paused his experimentation upon a set of twins to glance at the missive that had just arrived by carrier-hummingbird. It's heart promptly gave out and died after the parchment was dropped, but he set out sweetened water all the same to attract and train its replacement. He released a long hum, pursed his lips, shook his head, and returned to his science.
