  1. 1. What is your opinion on the population of Villains?

    • There are too many! Don't accept any other players!
    • There are too few! Be more lenient and accept more!
    • The villainous population is perfectly sized! Only accept a few to balance out those who leave.
    • Continue to let the villainous population grow slowly, only accepting very good and original applications.
    • Do whatever you are doing now! I either don't care or don't notice.

    • Villains make RP fun! I enjoy my villainous experiences.
    • I hate villains! They are poor RPers, and I dread meeting them.
    • Some villains are exceptional, but the majority are very poor.
    • Most villains are fine, but some ruin my playing experience.
  3. 3. What would you like to see from villains/VAT team?

    • More bandits/thugs/PvPers!
    • More crazy people!
    • More unique/quirky villains!
    • More subtle/non-PvP villains!
    • A separate opinion that I will state below!
    • (Hypothetical) Don't allow bandits to have any minas; will weed out poor RPers.
    • (Hypothetical) Get rid of VAs and simply ban lots of people.
    • (Hypothetical) Make "Villain" a race and give them special buffs/nerfs.
    • (Hypothetical) Make villains have a limited number of deaths before permanent character deletion - wounded soul or something.

I would like to see villains become less economically orientated. Sometimes I feel that ultimately, despite the RP, they just want my items. Which makes sense in a way but it is a role-playing server, not a PVP one. I would like to see more political crime and warmongering.

In all honesty, I used to be the pvp hungry steal peoples minas kind of bandit, then I realized , this is only fun for me. I killed off my character, and started a new one, trying to be more of a bring better Role-play to the server kind of villain. I believe I am working my way there, but I randomly see people running around killing people who don't give them minas. I'm fine with this, if it's not happening all the time, but it's too frequent. People think that a villain application is a way to make money... Not to have a villainous character. I believe you should make sure there is less bandits and raiders then quirky, original villains. This is just my opinion, but I hope many agree.

Villain applications are not only for those who want to be evil, but also those who want less restrictions. Moderating the Population is not necessary at the moment.

Villains mostly bring good RP, though, there are those who insist on PvPing and get to be annoying.

We do need more subtle & unique villains. PvP villains seem to get boring fast and aggravate a good amount of players.

The VA system should be totally redone I think. All VA's wiped (except the applications for 5), then renamed to 'Advanced Roleplay Applications', and there should be a more strict acceptance rate. There's a lot of ridiculously bad roleplayers, who have accepted VA's because they had a good applications, and their friends +1'd it just cause they were friends, even though the guys a terrible RP'r.

This could be a good idea, though what would this entail? What benefits would they get? We could put lower evils such as banditry, stealing, and such for all players although enforce it and moderate it. Bandits are not evil, they do what they do to survive. They would have to do it in moderation. It would make the roads a lot more scary to be on. Villain Applications would be more for the people who want to play as EVIL characters. Bigger Evils such as Killings for Pleasure would have to be applied for.

I believe that, ONE: There is way to many villains, specifically way to many villains with poor rp. TWO: The VA team should be MUCH more strict on whom they accept. THREE: There should be little to no villains accepted at this time, and many people need their VAs revoked or pulled completely.

A VA is a privilege beyond anything else, it is not a right. I believe that much to many villains are abusing their apps, many people whom were once amazing at rp, slipping because the rules seem "bendable" to them. This server is not about pvp.

I believe only extraordinary apps should be accepted, that is my two cents anywho.

I chose every extreme side of the poll; I'm not sure there's anyone that hates villains as much as I do and ever since I joined the server in August I have never, never had an above-decent roleplay with one. In my opinion having a villain app is the equivalent of having a douchebag app, because that's ALL I've ever seen out of the villain community. Douchebaggery. Whether it's from the bandits that roam the woods at night to kill children and livestock because they think it's funny, or from the undead who attacked random people at random times and destroyed everything they had. I've experienced more than enough of this nonsense to warrant an extremely biased opinion.

I'm sorry if that offends people but it's my honest opinion, and heck, I'm sure there are good villains out there; but I've sure as hell never seen them.

Villain =/= Bandit, although that seems to be the way a lot of villains are played. And bandits aren't usually great RPers.

Id like to see more "tragic" villains. Not one of those nuts who cries and broods every four seconds, reminding them of their past. I mean, more villains that aren't really villains so to speak, nor anti heroes, but just people who are dragged into a paradigm of their own. Specifically, they are "good guys" and don't truly fight for anything, but their RP is mainly internal conflict rather then external, and how they can show that through an evolving state in how they can cope through life with whatever is causing them to be in the state they are. Not constantly reminding people about it, but it is evident and significant to the character and those around them.Case and point: Seth HarkenEDIT: And before I forget, I feel that Villain Applications should be renamed to Advanced Applications. I feel its less cliched and more suitable to what the application actually is.

I totally agree with this. Internal conflict has been driving my character a lot ever since his whole family was wiped out by Undead. I also like the idea of 'subtle' villains who commit villainous acts without being too obvious.

I wouldn't say all villains are ****** bags... Look at Simon bane, and The Dark Brotherhood. I think you just may not have met the right ones, while I agree there are many villains like you do describe.

Go over the active villain applications, remove any that are not up to standards that need to. (Lower Evil Villains will be removed most likely.)

Here's what I think, all Va's shouldn't be deleted, that is a bit extreme. I agree that most of the time all villains are bandits and do stroll around with armor like tanks. It is indeed the line of "Give me your minas, or you die." Either way the diamond bloke wins, as he gets minas or items.

I think that villains shouldn't be able to wear diamond armor, they should run around in packs to get their minas, like shown above, the Dark Brotherhood doesn't accept people who just want to stroll in because being in a guild is fun, I ticked the box for villains shouldn't have minas, this is also extreme but, I'd rather own items than minas.

Villains shouldn't have their own race because getting their Va give them a kind of buff, adding even more would make it worse. I myself have pulled of a lot of those quick and easy diamond tank wins, this is not fun for the person being robbed because they have no choice, I think that people should come to check in mind that not all Villains are bad, the DB's application is very hard to get accepted a long with Simon's guilds.

Perhaps every week/2weeks/month Villains should have to fill out a medium sized form that will change every month, I also think that the limit of Va's should be two, and you shouldn't be able to create a new char for at least a week, I don't want to say any names but I think the VaT team have seen this persons Villain apps, that have led to failing the first 3 times and poorly Rp'ing their chars death, they then created a brand new char straight away and posted more Va's which as of today or tommorow has led to their 2nd chars 2nd denial.

I also want to state that Villains shouldn't have seriously expensive armor and weapons as why would they be stealing if their full to the pockets with minas, most people copy and tweak their Va's to get accepted but dodging the rules a bit.

And that ends my answer....

Reading this I am dissapointed with the Bandit population. But what Mylas said then quite a few people would be booted off being a Villain. Like me, I only have 1 and 4 for the moment because I scam people, dress up, lie, sometimes take over the renetus gatehouse and ask for road-tolls or they can't pass etc. But really I wouldn't like my character deleted. All the people who I have scammed said I've done good rp. So yes this is a bit selfish but I really don't want the VA's to be removed because good Villains will get removed if they aren't psychopathic maniacs. And I am horrible at writing stuff and do not want to re-write another application that took me two days...

I personally think the limited number of deaths is a great idea, It would force villains who are PvP oriented to adopt subtler tactics, which would in turn add to the RP and possibly prevent/limit those who play villainous characters just for the lootz.

It wouldn't apply to everyone who has a villain app accepted, because they don't all want to stroll around demanding minas and killing people after a countdown, so it should be added at the reviewers discretion.

As I have ranted previously to a few friends, the villain population is completely fine.

But too many opt for simple feats of robbery, thievery, and the like.

I wish to see more villains opting for the anti-hero approach with political corruption, deception, and grander schemes.

I'm tired of seeing, "HALT or die!"

EDIT:

In addition, I would like to see more actual thievery. Breaking and entering houses to steal valuables WITHIN city limits would be more likable for my perspective. Sadly, this would be heavily impossible without the use of a mod with API, such as Smart Moving Mods.
