The Dawn

Lime sits somewhere in the wretched grove, sharpening his now dull diamond great sword and cleaning the ash off his armor when he receives the news.

We're going to burn down Salvus while Kal'Karik's beast is free to roam? Shows where our bloody priorities are well enough, doesn't it?

He sighs, realizing that it's probably not too healthy to be talking to himself.

Bah, forget it. I'm already half way mad. Fine then. I'll fight with my nation, but only if I get to start Dawn's last bonfire. 'Ear that, Syrio?

"I've seen her... I've seen her seated in her throne.

A great storm struck the city, and she was not there. She had left, many said, and a council was devised to rule in her stead. The chaotic storm had consumed the people and left Solace defenseless, and she abandoned it. She then returned, and of course, siezed her power once again.

Her people die in the streets. Her people fear and cower in their homes and cry out for help, but there is noone to help them. The Peacekeepers arrive, but with nothing but malice and greed. I gathered people, many, and we walked to her Palace, asking her to step down. She refused, she insulted me, and she insulted my followers. She said I was power hungry and they were weak minded. So, I left, shaking my head at her malediction, and gathered the people at the Gazebo in Solace. We cried out to spread the word across Asulon that Dawn must step down. We did so peacefully. Soon, men in diamond armor with diamond weapons surrounded our peaceful protest. They threatened us and attacked. I was captured, beat, half drowned and tortured.

I decided this would never stand, so I began to wave around a petition. I had dozens of signatures. Dawn once again abandoned her people, and I arrived at Solace on that day and gathered many around me. We organized the republic that would take her place. However, as we were doing so, Dawn's daughter had called upon Orcs to end our peaceful usurpation. She claimed there was nothing she could do once they surrounded us and I stepped forward. The Peacekeepers looked on. The Commander named Kais just watched, who had moments before nearly signed the petition. Now he had of course changed his mind.

So the Orcs cut me down, as my friend explained to me. And as Autumn told me, Iearned what I had to do. I sent letters.

Pok, Mirtok, and Syrio. The nations met with me, at the summit, and we discussed our plans. We all agreed. The only way to erase such irrevocable corruption was to absolutely eradicate where it was rooted.

((At the beginning of this you wrote that a great storm struck and she was not there. Really? You must be trying to use anything against her. She was offline during a weather change. Not a WAR. Seriously))

Are ye Saying I shouldn't take the initiative to kill the corrupted and save many more innocents? What is the cost of ones life to you anyway? Think about the greater good of Asulon.

The next person to address the King by first name shall lose his or her tongue. You speak so defiantly of our actions, yet the people of Salvus speak in a muted shout of defiance, pushed down by Dawn's boot of oppression. We seek to liberate, not to monger war or horde goods, but to save the people of Salvus.

Rests his blade hand on the hilt of his dagger, crafted for the sole purpose of tongue removal.

You call us greedy and short conquest hungry...

We, a nation with an army to outmatch most and troops of a quality that has never dulled kept ready by constant training. And yet, we do not wage war for years and years after arriving here in Asulon on the greatest of ships built to hold the scared masses. We build, our great city grows and the people prosper. The rich and power hungry are left to sit in their houses while those who take action to help Alras grow are granted the highest positions of power so that High King Syrio has the best of tools to work the city into the greatest of nations. When the hungry show up at our doorstep they are given food, when the sick come to us they are brought to those who can care for them, when the homeless come to us they are greeted with a warm welcome and granted a home with the only expectation be they work for the betterment of Alras. All High King Syrio has ever expected from us is a dedication to Alras and by that him, to show honor where ever we go and to be kind to those who come to Alras in need.

And you call us conquest hungry.

No my good sir, we are simply the right tool to remove this corruption that has tainted your nation for so long.

Your women and children, your young and your old, those who leave their weapons behind when we come. We will spare them, they will be welcomed to make their own choices free of the control so long held by your queen and long enforced by your peacekeepers. They may wish to rebuild Salvus, if that is to be allowed it will be up to those who lead us. But should they wish to seek a new home they are welcome in Alras. We will be ready to welcome them with food and homes.

As for you who would seek to defend such a thing as what Salvus's leaders have become. It is your choice, do not regret it.

Danic listens to the people shriek and accuse eachother of monstrosities, grabbing his head in bother annoyance and pain, groaning

"My lord you are all annoying. . . Why don't you just all shut up and kill each other already? Not saying I disapprove of Salvus' soon demise. . ." A grin flashes over his face for a moment, as his pristine, clever blue eyes glances up from their cave at is his hand "Oh no, I will savior the taste of revenge after walking over the rubble of the corrupt city~ I my self have been subjected to horrific abuse from the so called "Peace" keepers. I was nearly killed for standing on a single roof, and after I stood up for myself?" Danic growls with distrust and hatred, as his eyebrows knit into a glare; perfected over years "They treated me like DIRT! Swinging their. . . Barbaric clubs at me as I walk past, shooting insults my way, practically flaunting the fact they want me dead!"

He slams his fist down, his eyes so filled with hatred you'd think they'd boil red

"My face was SHOVED into the fireplace, my skin broiled to a near crisp! And they. Just. Stood there. . . If. . . If it wasn't for Dante. . . Coming to my rescue and healing me in time, I would have been dead." Danic smiles slightly at the thought of his rescue, before shaking his head returning to the situation Qhen you're slaughtering the sad resistance that follow Dawn the Goldfish, make sure to let them reflect on their lives, to make sure they understand the pain they caused. . .
