The Twilight

A gust of wind flows by, throwing Lorethos' hair back and revealing his emerald, intense gaze pounding against the lush scene of Salvus before him. He sighs with dissapointment, the sound drifting through another gust that muffles his blade as he slides the silver weapon, glimmering as the sun sets, out of the white-gold scabbard. He raises the blade high and twirls it, the gust rushing back his cloak and hair as he cries out.

"Attack!"

"I've seen her... I've seen her seated in her throne.

A great storm struck the city, and she was not there. She had left, many said, and a council was devised to rule in her stead. The chaotic storm had consumed the people and left Solace defenseless, and she abandoned it. She then returned, and of course, siezed her power once again.

Her people die in the streets. Her people fear and cower in their homes and cry out for help, but there is noone to help them. The Peacekeepers arrive, but with nothing but malice and greed. I gathered people, many, and we walked to her Palace, asking her to step down. She refused, she insulted me, and she insulted my followers. She said I was power hungry and they were weak minded. So, I left, shaking my head at her malediction, and gathered the people at the Gazebo in Solace. We cried out to spread the word across Asulon that Dawn must step down. We did so peacefully. Soon, men in diamond armor with diamond weapons surrounded our peaceful protest. They threatened us and attacked. I was captured, beat, half drowned and tortured.

I decided this would never stand, so I began to wave around a petition. I had dozens of signatures. Dawn once again abandoned her people, and I arrived at Solace on that day and gathered many around me. We organized the republic that would take her place. However, as we were doing so, Dawn's daughter had called upon Orcs to end our peaceful usurpation. She claimed there was nothing she could do once they surrounded us and I stepped forward. The Peacekeepers looked on. The Commander named Kais just watched, who had moments before nearly signed the petition. Now he had of course changed his mind.

So the Orcs cut me down, as my friend explained to me. And as Autumn told me, Iearned what I had to do. I sent letters.

Pok, Mirtok, and Syrio. The nations met with me, at the summit, and we discussed our plans. We all agreed. The only way to erase such irrevocable corruption was to absolutely eradicate where it was rooted.

*Sees, hears, and feels the massive army of Hanseti marching peacefully through Renatus in a bee line for Solace

*Looks to his men in the fort

"It is time, to arms, for Solace shall fall!"

*on his way he hears of Alras heading in the same direction, for the same goal, by the gossip of the Hanseti soldiers

"Surely Solace shall perish now!"

*continuing the journey to Solace he hears of another group heading for the western end of Salvus

"Apparently they didn't get the raven, or their cartographers need some serious help!"

So this battle will be Renatus and the revolutionaries combined against puny Salvus?

We have a problem, the Crimson Blades are part of Seventis AND the Twilight Army. How can we fight in both the Twilight and the Midnight?

Simple. Pick a side. Preferably the one I instruct. Preferably the winning side.

"They are both on the same side of the war, m'lord. He just wants to know which side would benefit from his help the most, and I assure you, that would be the Twilight Army."

Rengana nods affirmatively, news of Lorethos' assault having reached his ears through the ever-reliable Vidhrea. The chains which wrap his armor rattle as he shifts, ever so slightly.

"Mine sword and mail... they are and with thee. Without circumstances unforeseen, the Iron Knights' Final shall lay down his weapon not - the opposition shalt be smote, without prejudice and swiftly, as an assassin in the inky blackness of the night. Our battle fought will be of honor, and with no ill blood; a war thus fought shall be a war forever remembered, an infliction of truth and justice which none shalt fail to recollect. The Twilight moves, its shadows shifting unseen, but soon it shall leap forth, the claws of justice renting gashes in the black shell of the Salvan regime. Doth not the behemoth cease - the force of nations is one not to be trifled with. I say now and again, at which loudness will never cease; Lorethos shalt have the Iron Knight's support, for this and forever in his eminence - may the Twilight prevail!"

He lifts his claymore over his head, throwing up chunks of dirt. His wrought-iron chains 'clink' as always, and his weapon's dull sheen glints off of the sunlight like a black symbol of power - honor, or terror?

*looks on at the approaching army led by greed and distruction*

"If death doth approach this fair city, then truely all life left in thy land will be gone by day's first light"

*listens to the bustling of armoured men rushing around with weapons and equipment*

"Even the heavens weep at the loss of humanity among the approaching army. If This city falls then I fear that Asulon will twist into chaos and doom... Just as Aegis did all those years ago..."

*hears the lightning crackle above as the archers pull tight their bow strings and the command in the approaching army is heard*

CHARGE!

August Flay helping Salvus? Oh dear, Godfrey would most likely not want to hear about this.
