Droolguy, just do us a favor and leave If all you are going to do is whine about this addition. You're not really correcting the GMs, you're just insulting them. If I could, I would just ban you and make you submit an appeal to come back, a reason I don't apply for any moderator positions. I am loving the personal attacks right now, keep them coming and I will keep ignoring them. Really, I am not twelve, I could care less what someone on the internet thinks of me.

If some of you actually read the entire thread and didn't just TLDR my posts we might actually get somewhere.

My conversation is not with the players, it is with the GM and Development Team.

Seventh, you responded to an old post. I have, in fact, rewrote the entire combat system to be more balanced which I believe is the majority of how you were trying to tell me off. I even put a link to it in a previous post that you apparently didn't read. I would also point out that I never said anything about the GM or Development Team sucking, so please stop trying to put words in my mouth. I would also like to inform you that everything I said is totally possible and in fact, quite easy. Take running a test server, all you have to do is run it off the same box as the primary server, there you go, doesn't cost you anything and you avoid these situations for the most part.

Before this continues to get out of hand let me make one thing perfectly clear, I support the Development Team and I know that they are effectively learning on the job and mostly doing it for free. This does get them a lot of leeway for things in my book. This does not mean I will not complain very loudly when they make large mistakes.

Not only does an angry user base get things fixed faster, it also helps to condition the Development Team for the real world of administering servers and teach them what is, and isn't, acceptable.

So, I will continue to complain about it until the problems are fixed, removed from the server completely, or someone can tell me why neither of these things are possible.

As a player and someone with a large amount of experience with this it is my responsibility to do so.

They have been fixing the bugs and I think everything is perfect right the way the armour is set up and the majority of the people on the server like this new plugin so when you say The Angry Player Base I would like to point out that the only players getting mad here are the people getting mad at you. You are right you did not say the Gm team sucked but the way you stated your comment? you could of just gave them some suggestions instead of making all the hard working Gm's And Admins feeling like ****. If I was Vaq looking at your post I would feel like **** and think Is this the gratadude the players are gonna give me for working on this server? so next time please try to respect out Gm team for there good work.

Its not your job to be a complete arse.

Even the other people who don't like the plugin are being more helpful. Rather than flaming at the GM team, they come up with ideas that will help / balance / fix the current problems.

Thank you for a neutral post jackbren.

I would like to point out that I have in the past given them suggestions on how to improve in a kind and polite manner. They were totally ignored.

I would be very sorry if Vaq felt I was targeting him, I have specifically said the Development Team as a whole was responsible in order to avoid singling him out actually. Since I believe this was a Team failure and should not be put on a single person.

As for you Hawk,

You have been instigating this whole time, as I said before, solutions have been provided. If you continue to ignore that in order to try and further an argument it's not going to work.

And Droolguy, if I was a moderator who would I look at for the majority of the player bases reaction and how it can be fixed. You or TheCrackerJack. Cracker is just one of many examples who have provided ways to solve this problem while using the current plugin which most people like but don't like the armor slowness. To me it seems you only suggest your "Improved" combat system which conveys a feeling of raging until the Moderators look at it. And if I was an FM I would have warned you for derogatory comments while only suggesting your system which to me seems like it would require a lot of work to code while Vaq can be working on more important things such as bugs and he can focus on RL things such as Finals which should take precedence over any video game no matter how involved you are.

Alright this is getting out of hand. The "mistake" we, the development team, made was fixed quite a bit ago, and we are already improving greatly. Stop bickering over something that has passed.

Droolguy. You may fail to realize it, but you singlehandedly started a flame war. Whether or not it was intentional doesn't matter, but you need to be more mindful of what you are actually saying. Put yourself in our shoes for a moment, as we really don't appreciate how you are acting like you know everything while we know nothing.

Everyone else. Droolguy may have started the flame, but you are all feeding it. Stop being sarcastic with him, stop yelling at him, and stop being immature. Even if you feel like he is being rude, being rude at him doesn't solve anything, in fact it makes it worse. If you really want to solve your disputes, then take it to private forms of communication, not the public.
