A Peasant Uprising?

*This poster is placed in many places in the Holy Oren Empire, dark, dank, and lowly places where the great nobility and knighthood refuse to tread. Very little of the poster shows anything of its author, it could be man or woman, commoner, or highborn, and the only description found of the person putting said posters up is a hooded man in a plain brown robe, with a symbol of a raised, clenched fist on his back. Numerous peasant dwellings, small inns, and dank shops have these posters plastered outside their walls.*

*At the bottom of the message is imprinted a clenched fist, a symbol, perhaps of the rebellion.*

BROTHERS OF OREN, FELLOW COMMONERS, RISE UP!

For too many a year we, the people, the common men, the true workers and backbone of this grand Empire, we have tasted the cold steel of Ser Lion and his damnable Squires for NOTHING! Merely the exchange of words or his own sick pleasure can dictate his foul deeds against the common man. I say NO MORE! No more shall we walk the streets of Arethor, in fear, and see the havoc, death, and cruelty that the Lion has brought against the peasants.

The rage of the common man has finally awakened and his sins will be punished! He WILL be called to account for all the atrocities he has committed, all of the unspeakable horrors he has inflicted upon the innocent, and the power he has abused for FAR TOO LONG!

Though he slays any who would insult him or speak out against him publicly, and though he lacks any human mercy, the day has come and thousands of others cry out for his fall.

Now you Ser Lion we speak to you, look to your own walls for the very people of this nation gather at your gates and cry for your blood.

As Thomas sips on his ale in a small inn near Arethor, he notices a poster on the wall. He gets up and walks over to it. He reads it and makes note of the symbol at the bottom. He turns to the innkeeper and asks him if he put it up. The innkeeper walks over to it and shakes his head. The innkeeper then tears it down and walks back to the counter, muttering about what would have happened if Ser Lion saw the sign and thought he put it up. After this, Thomas walks out of the inn and wonders if these accusations are true and who he should side with.

*The Grand Knight Uthor walks through Ager one of the Peasant towns Patroling the Country Side with Ser Mizu as Usual. They stop to talk to a few Peasants and begin asking them if the Raiders and Traitors been around lately. They smile as the Peasants tell them they have been gone.*

"Ah, The Impieral Justice Ser Lion, Has done a good job, he may be merciless but he protects our people none the less."

*Mizu and the peasants nod. And make thier way back home. Uthor Waves to Thomas through a Inn's Window as he walks by and sees the Innkeeper tear down a poster with the Fist symbol barely visable. Uthor Dismissess the thought and returns home."

A hooded man with both a sword and a dagger at each hip, plus one dagger on his thigh, wanders the slums outside Arethor. He spots several of the posters there, tears one down, and pockets it, murmuring quietly to himself.

"Vithin' things're everywhere..."

He says no more as he moves on with his business.

Enjoying an ale in a tavern, Bael notices a poster on the wall, still sober, he reads it.

Anuvver wun? Dese 'umans seem tu be 'avin' a rebelliun almost as much as 'e build new cities.

Bael sighs and without any real knowledge of what happens within the border of the Empire, decide the best course of action is to simply get another drink.

Dennis the Peasant staggers through Arethor, his stature hunched over as he extends a hand to passerbys, in hopes to receive some generosity from the fortunate of the capital. Turning now to notice the poster, he skims it over, having trouble reading a few of the larger words, but nonetheless understanding its meaning. With a chuckle and a snort of mucus, the peasant speaks up, thinking outloud.

"Well! This is surely a way to bring down the violence inherent in the system. Seems a bit too radical fer me, dough. I am usually fine with an Anarcho-Syndicated Commune like I 'ad back 'ome..."

The peasant trails off, turning to extend a beggar's hand to a passing noble, adorned in fine robes. After receiving a spit to the face by said noble, Dennis the Peasant makes his way off, pondering the legitimacy of Kings and Emperors, brushing aside the common sword in a stone notion, and instead wondering of a particular 'watery tart' and her fine scimitars in which she seems to lob so often.

Walks down the street as he always does waiting for some fool to do something stupid. As he walks onward through the city to his favorite liquor store he spots this poster and chuckles as he finishes it, he looks up to Rookie and says.

"More? What is this number three? The dirty water trash who wrote this must not realize the ins and outs of this Empire. They cower in fear and put up their posters with their little rat claws. Arethor has a major rat problem and it looks like I have some cleaning up to do. Go sharpen some stakes and put together some crucifixes, tighten the ropes and oil the stocks, we have some hunting to do."

Woods coughs, sighting the poster. He grins, muttering to himself,

"Peasants. An unorganized force will never defeat a well trained army of knights, nobles, and bannermen. Ney, only the efforts of one man nearly brought this Empire to it's knees,"

John then shakes his head, walking off back to the Keep.

*Alexander Horen hears the muttering of peasents and people taking down posters. He takes one from a peasent, reading it and rolls his eyes.*

"This is stupid. Ser Lion is just going to start killing more now. Rebels of this sort will lose hope and fail"

((The Rebellion is off, my character was killed by Lion because he didn't want to go with it.))
