How long had it been?

been sense she saw him, the elf with jet black hair mixed with white, looking at her in the square...

...two years...

Elphaba smiled at the fond memory, from her spot on the wall she kept to her books as she usually did, either writing or reading. Reading took her fancy on this day...she still remembered the book she had in her hands when it happened, when she saw him.

A quick look up from her book showed the people on the square below. One of them happened to be a elf lost, then looking at her. She blinked at him then smiled

"Hello" she said with her usual cheerful voice

"Hi there" he responded, seemingly lost

"are you new here?" she asked "you seem....lost"

After he nodded Elphaba laughed softly and offered to show him around. As they walked she talked of malinor, of the chapel, the shore, the different districts. All she knew, she told him. She had not noticed his looks, she didn't take note of how he saw her. Why would she? she was Tal'uruk. Ata'mali in some eyes.

"No one will love me" she thought contently whenever relationships entered her mind. Oh how wrong she was.

"Lets rest here" She offered a seat to him after awhile of walking. He took the seat, still giving her curious looks, At least to her they were curious. They sat, talked, laughed, smiled. The day was in a word. Perfect. Sadly, all dreams must end, and that dream was put away as the mooon rose that night. They parted ways. But not before promiseing to meet again the next day.

"So meet here tomorrow?"

"its a date"

The blush came to Elphabas face as if floodgates had been open. He wantedto see her again. The idea of her making an actual Friendother then her parental figured was one of her deepest desires, now she had a chance to do just that! Maybe even make him more then just a friend...if that was possible. With that in mind she accepted with no hesitation, failing to sleep that night did not bother her, she had much more on her mind.

The warm sun beaming on her face woke her. She quickly got herself ready, running to the mali'ker caves to see him, he had been waiting for her, after they greeted each other they spent a day on the beach, again, talking. They talked for hours. About her, about him. what they liked and disliked. Stories of what had happened in there life's, what they wanted. Oh Elphie loved talking to him.

"Please, please...if he doesn't love me, then at least...at least i want things to continue like this" she thought to herself. Not believing someone of elf blood could ever love her. She was dead wrong however; After there lunch Daylen suggested a swim. Smiling at the thought of the fun of the cool water Elphie accepted and they spent more hours together playing in the water.

Where daylen surprised her with a warm embrace. That night, that night and day at the beach was there beginning, and she remembered it vividly in her mind every moment she saw him. He won her heart, telling her he loved her, she felt the same, finally, someone loved her, finally, she had someone to call her own, and who she could be for, someone wanted her love, and she, theres. Quickly he added himself to her collection of drawings she had done of the people she loved.

Things progressed like that, for two years, and one night, Daylen had asked Elphie to marry him

"I never want to lose you, Elphie, your perfect, I love you more then anything and I want to be with you my entire life!" he hugged her tightly in her arms and kissed her as he asked her, Elphaba gasped a gasp of surprise and overwhelming joy escaped her and she agreed. She quickly went of to the people she felt closest to and told them of the news...

Now...wedding day was here, finnally...here

Elphaba jumped up "MARRIED! IM GETTING MARRIED TODAY!" she screamed out happily, looking at the mess her hair was, and looking down at her black nightdress "Ah, a few hours of work, and...i'll be his wife" she smiled and looked out the window "We'll be together forever, finally" she held her locket tight to her chest, along with her hand that her ring was on "I bet Daylens waking up and getting ready to...oh love, I cant wait to see you, haha, all our waiting, finnally. paying off" she said with a confident happiness "And nothingwill ruin our love, not Evark, not Kugar or the orcs, not the racist highelfs...no. You've seen all my scars and still stay with me, this day will not be ruined, i promise that, we're strong, and even stronger together" and with that she walked into the hall of her home to get her mother to help her get ready for the big day ahead, a day of celebration

"It seemed so strange."

That was the only thing Daylen muttered to himself as he woke up and remembered what day it was. He had met that girl by mere chance. That girl who would soon be becoming his wife. Seems like those few words that had made them friends were going to be the ones that would start a life long commitment. But he was calm. He always remained calm, despite what would happen. He stood up, stretching his body. Today was going to be a long day, at least for him. He looked at his clothing, his only clothing, as he shrugged and began walking. He was prepared for this. A smile on Daylen's face as he swept his hair to look normal. As he looked up upwards at the sky, he let out a few more words to finish off the previous ones.

"Yet... I feel so fulfilled."

Xiiyah walks up with careful stride to the large house and gently knocks on the wooden door three times. She is wearing her ceremonial robes and carries a large tome under her arm. Her long silken flowing robes are caressed by the wind, gently blowing in the breeze along with her long, soft, white hair length she lowers her hand and awaits for her knocks to be heard, whilst thinking back to when Prince Keel nominated her to wed the two.

Yes, Xii knew she could flawlessly and smoothly perform a wedding ceremony, as she had done countless times before, but that still didn't stop her nerves. As the warn morning sun cast its soft light upon her body, warming it up, she raised her hand to knock again.

Elphaba opened the door, still in her nightdress, but hair washed and with her running her brush through it

"WELCOME!" she greeted happily letting her in

"alright, now khel needs to arrive, and mother needs to wake" she walking to the living room, taking a seat on the sofa and brushing her hair, the roses and vines she plans to put in there sitting on the table

"todays the day!" she says with a blissful tone, happily setting her brush down and smiling at xiiyah

Azel leans against his normal tree in the Malinor square, wearing his normal attire, but something is different. Today is the day a girl he cared so much for is getting married to a boy he didn't know. There were so many things he wished to learn about him, to make sure he was strong and loving, caring enough to make sure she was always happy. Azel studies his invitation, hoping that she will be happy with her new husband, but he knows it does not matter what he hopes. All that matters is her happiness. He shakes his head, a peaceful bliss descending upon him as he looks at his own golden, simple engagement ring, hoping his day will be as special, or even more so as todays. Shrugging his thoughts away, Azel walks off, waiting for the days festivities to begin.

Sarien opened her eyes, a ray of light finally catching her attention, filtering in through the window and onto her face, one that spoke of both happiness, and a light sadness, as any mother would feel. She stood slowly, gathering herself, physical, and mentally before dressing, always one too be prepared ahead of time.

Opening the door from her bed chamber, Sarien walked into the hallway, quietly repeating to herself that she had allowed this, that Daylen had passed her tests, and that Ephie was ready for this... that her daughter was not herself most importantly. Approaching the gathering room, Sarien placed on her best smile and looked in, Ephie and Xiiyah already chatting.

As per tradition, Sarien simply stood there, waiting until one or the other noticed her, sleep still heavy in her eyes as she watched. For three minutes she stood there, before finally announcing her presence in a light tone

"Ephie," she said slowly, "Have the others arrived yet dear?" Sarien questioned, almost in a hopeful way, almost...

Elphaba turned to her mother, standing up to go hug her "so far,no one else has come yet. im sure there just getting ready" she says smiling. everything seemed to be falling into place nicely. this was a day for celebration. Elphaba looked at herself in the mirror, her hair finally brushed. she went back to sit down

"Im still shocked, its...its hard to believe that this day actually is here, that i was lucky enough to find someone to love, and, who gifts me with his love in return, im so happy, yet, scared at the same time, this is all so new, and, exciting at the same time! I wonder if it feels like this for everyone..." she finishes, looking at the window, eagerly awaiting the guests to arrive

Elphaba pushes Xiiyah in and seats her on the couch. Xiiyah giggles and pushes her hair behind her ear, starting to feel the enthusiasm and excitement around her in the air soak into her own feelings. She looks around the house, in awe of it's beauty, then gently sets her tome on the table with a quiet 'thunk' She grins and looks to Elphie. Today's the day! Elphie exuberatly says to her, and the Priestess giggles and nods. "Aye, that it is. I am very excited for you~!" She replies.

Sarien then walks into the room, carrying with her the power and wisdom of an older elf, yet the sincerity of a mother. The dark elf gives a small wave to her mother and grins, then listens as Elphie babbles on with an eager personality.

"Elphaba, if you do not mind, I would like to go over the ceremony with you. Did you have any certain way in mind or did you want to follow the tradition of the dark elves? I am fluent in the ceremonies of the elves, but I can adapt some practices if you would like me too." Xiiyah gives a warm smile and crosses her legs, making sure to even out the small folds in her dress. She interlocks her hands and puts them on her knee, making sure to keep the ceremonial robes without wrinkles.

((Bold is quoted from the book itself.))

Xiiyah grins and smiles.

"I only know of my dark elven ways, in which I have also translated a few words into our language." She opens the tome with great care and delicacy, then uncrosses her legs and scoots forward to read the tome. Her finger comes down to a paragraph and she trails it, reading directly from the ancient tome.

"The first thing to initate a 'Living Soul-bind' is that the host," me, "will walk in first. The host shall prepare the Pedestal of Binding."

She stops quoting the book and looks up to inform Elphie of the tradition.

"In order to prepare the Pedestal, you and your lover must choose a small smooth stone for each other. You shall deliver them me before the moon rises, because part of our tradition requires that the ceremony start at dusk, so that the seal shall happen with the moon has reached the peak of the sky. Also on the pedestal shall be two vials of water, one for the male and one for the female, along with this tome." She looks back down and resumes quoting.

"Upon the end of preparation, all of the guests will file in. If you have seats, they will sit. If not, they will stand. After the guests file in, The wife-to-be..."

Xiiyah trails off and looks up with an excited grin. She then looks back down at the tome, resuming her words,

"...shall walk in and down the isle. Once she is settled in front of the Pedestal, the groom-to-be will walk in, following her path. Upon reaching the wife, he shall bow to her, then assume his position in front of the wife-to-be. The groom-to-be shall then join hands with the wife-to-be to initiate a loving circuit between the two."

She takes a moment to breathe, then looks up with a sparkle in her eye to monitor the facial expression of Elphie. The dark elf pushes her hair behind her ears and, with a warm smile, resumes her reading.

"Now at this time, The host will give a small speech to the crowd. Then the host shall address the wife-to-be personally. Now, if you choose to keep this in your ceremony, I need you and Daylen to decide on something for me to read after the opening speech. This is important! It can be a quote, a motto, poetry, philosophy, a saying, or anything. I shall read what you have chosen and then I will turn to you Elphie and recite these words."

While explaining this to her, hair had fallen into her face again. She pushes it back out then flips the page and resumes trailing down the page, quoting from the tome.

"Elphaba, do you promise to love and embrace Daylen, to honor and cherish him, to respect and care for him under the guidance of Malin? You shall reply 'I do' and I will say these lines. Do you promise to take care of him and support him through all times, to keep him from harm, and protect him through all of eternity? Again, you shall reply 'I do.' I will do the same for Daylen, and he must reply the same way. I must tell him this when he gets here..."

"Now, after the vows the couple shall both turn towards the Pedestal of Binding and grab the ring of the opposite sex. Elphie, you shall put his ring on his finger first. When you do so, you must say 'With this ring, I deliver and bind to you my eternal soul.' After that, he shall do the same to you."

The Priestess grins and looks up with a cheerful smile. She adjusts herself and smooths the wrinkles out of the robes again.

"After the ring sharing, the lovers shall each grab a vile of water. The wife-to-be will pour her water over the stone she picked for the groom-to-be, and he shall pour his water over the stone he picked for the wife-to-be. They will both set the vials down and the host will say 'Velulaei has bound your souls! Daylen, you may now kiss your bride!' And then you shall both leave together, in the same way you came!"

Xiiyah closes the tomb with a loud 'thunk' and straightens her back.

"Now that is just the tradition of the dark elves. This is your wedding, so you may ask for a change in anything. Perhaps the time of wedding, or the Gods mentioned. It is all up to you and Daylen. If you wish to follow our traditions, then you both must find a stone for each other, allow me to have possession of the rings, and find something for me to quote after the opening speech. Any questions?"

((Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhew long post. I hope you can understand it ._.))

Listens intently to all she has to say and debates on what to go for.

"It sounds similar to what we already had in mind, just with added things. I love them all! all the ideas are wonderful, perfect for us" she smiles happily

"I think we will do this plan, but I cant speak for the both of us, Daylen should have a say to sense he is my husband to be. maybe when he arrives we can talk more about it,but. I think I already know what I want to say" she closes her eyes and thinks hard about her words.

"It is said that people come into our life's for a reason, along with people having scars that they carry because of the people that can come into your life. I have scars of my own; and, my life isnt easy, just like the years, it brings trouble, and bliss around every corner."

she takes a breath before continuing

"But I feel that this unity is what changes things. No more will we have to carry the burdens alone, no longer are we alone" she closes her eyes and thinks more

"Love is one of the highest powers, and greatest gifts, and to be blessed with such a gift. Is truly a wonder of the word, love can heal, love can hurt, but if its true love, it will never, break" she opens her eyes "how was that?" she asked "is that to much for the speech? or just enough?" she smiles, hoping what she suggested want to over the top
