*Vermah Wanders aimlessly around wondering "When can adults start treating me the same...."

Smoke paces around the base with nothing but relaxed thoughts on his head. Whilst making his way down a plight of stairs he couldn't help but notice Nienna's desolate, sound-ridden room. Smoke couldn't help but rub his neck after viewing the place, thinking to himself how the alchemist usually keeps the place clean. He abandons the thought and simply coughs as he continues to walk down.

After walking down, he suddenly spots Art growling at an empty cave, speaking words of what seems to be unkind, only making out the words: "paleface". He eyes him as he walks away in an angered poise. Smoke went over to the spot Art stood previously in. He inspects the empty cave, he himself not knowing what he was angry at up until the point it hit him on the head like a speeding arrow. His eyes widened, a grin forming under his mask.

"Oh joy. Kalenz is gone. What predicament is this going to lead us in, if it does at all..." He says whilst adjusting his mask.

"It's circumstances like these that get excitement rolling endlessly for me, and I'm sure with all these 'people' making daunting decisions that effect others, it will surely... Never... End..."

Smoke strides away from the cave after giving himself that brief speech.

*Tormis can be normally found, no longer wandering the halls, but in the great library.  It is almost strange, the drastic shift from seemingly mad rambleings to the study of illusion.  It is as if he as realized something, something that obviously has him completely focused on the study of Illusion magic.

*However his expression is not one of a want of learning, but of a seemingly more sinister lust for knowledge.  It is difficult to say what he could want with Illusion magic...

Seyer walks around the base, the unsmiling expression on his face, sees Tormis at the great library.

"The world's knowledge is vast and infinite. The ambition of people's thirst for knowledge is even scarier than a living demon himself."

Slowly shaking his head, turning away to avoid clashing eyes with him.

"There are already a few samples in this guild...

As he walks off the other way. The tapping of foot steps that echo around the whole building.

Given name(RP name): Varstivus

(Skype name if you have one): Thornikel43 (inactive)

True name(MC name): tthorn3

Race: Dark Elf

Authentic magic user?(accepted magic user?): No. I am in fact, a master alchemist. Who may have fallen on hard times.

Do ye seek adventure, knowledge, and companionship?: Of course, what is a person without them? An empty husk that contributes nothing to anyone but themselves.

All applying will be apply for the applicant position. However should you pass that stage what profession might you take on? Note that if you want to learn magic you must speak to a Delver Arcanist personally:

What combat skills have ye? Slight staff fighting skills, mediocre fencing, and potion throwing/drinking at the right time.

Short Response for all Applicants, write how ye
would respond:

1.) You come across a massive ruin of ancient design, strange sounds and lights emanate from within.

Varstivus would start by securei ng the area, then sending a message to a senior member and waiting for a response. Once help arrives ruin exploration would start, for what fun is there in going alone? If no response is to be had, or no one is able to come, he would go in alone to scout it out and see if there is anything more important to report, if not, go home, if so, report back in earnest.

2.)While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figures in the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".
He would get as close as possible to them without being obtrusive. Listening intently yet only catching a few words here and there. From what he gathers, Varstivus would try to determine if they have the artifact's name, or are dancing around the subject. Before he can, the two go upstairs to their rooms. So Varstivus begins writing out his mental notes, trying to set them in a logical manner to determine where, and for what, these two were searching for.

3.)Walking down the Anthos Highway you come across a masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a necromancer.

"How do you know I am not one also?"

Varstivus says as he readies his staff, waving it around as if he were to cast a spell. Spouting absolute nonsense.

The masked man's eyes widen beneath their concealment. He drops the hooded Necromancer, charging at Varstivus with his sword, screaming the words "NO! No you do not!" He lunges, attempting to stab the elf in the middle of "casting." Varstivus instantly stops, moving his staff to block the blade.

He yells to the necromancer, "Run! I'll take care of this clown!"

The hooded man obliges, fleeing behind a rock at the side of the road. As he does so, the masked man turns his attention away from the blue elf.

Seeing his opening, Varstivus disengages and runs back a few paces, ripping a bottle off of hiks sash and quaffing it.

Masky, seeing Varstivus having a drink in the middle of their battle, charges again. He slashes down at the elf's torso, only for a rocky hand to block it.

With stone creeping up his arms and legs, Varstivus glares at the attacker, saying "I would be running now if I were you, you're no match for an alchemist and a necromancer."

As the words leave his lips, he points to the top of the rock, to the hooded figure casting a real spell. As the offender looks, his pupils dilate. He drops his sword and flees down the road. As soon as he is gone the necromancer collapses.

Varstivus looks him over, concluding he is simply exhausted, he takes the man off the main road to try and treat him.

(I am aware I switch tense a lot, it's a bad habit)

*Art's owl makes another perilous trip back to Varstivius.

"ACCEPTED.

We can never have too many alchemists. You'll get along famously with Nienna. Make your way to Ac'talareh this following Elven Afternoon and we'll see to incorporating you in."

There is not a quiet moment to be had. Spiders swarm, the apparition drives mad, an unfortunate recent incursion by some rather stupid knights resulted in a couple of dead roses the other day. And yet, on top of all that, what was most disturbing was that there were external forces watching at all times.

Art already had a necromancer hounding him. He would pop into his mind from time to time, coerce Art, threaten him, anything to break him, and although he would admit this to no one the Necromancer may have been dangerously close to succeeding. But it was not just that.

Monsters poured into the ruins, seemingly out of nowhere, from walls the Delvers had ensured were sealed. Notes from nowhere dropped from the sky, no carrier bird in sight, carrying cryptic messages.

"The worst is yet to come."

Art was convinced. Someone was toying with them, and it was likely more than a single practitioner of dark arts. He sits down at his desk, shadows dancing across his weary face. This was the calm before the storm.

Varlan sits in his hidden room. Upon his own throne-like chair he constructed over time. He is somewhat incased in a light shadow as he taps his right hands fingers on the armrest. The crackling of two small fires that are embedded in the walls in either side keep the light from hitting him directly. He sits, thinking of the events that have transpired over the last two elven weeks as a slight grin forms on his face. Though he says nothing, the expression he bears would say it plainly to those who would see him. He continues to ponder in silence.
