A simple unsigned note pinned by the front gate has some simple words written on it.

 

"Where is everyone?"

Brile skips along merrily, stopping to read the note. She smiles and attaches a note beneath it "karin'ayla Mali, kae mali'ame." She humms to herself once the note is placed and continues down the path, pausing occasionally to collect flowers.

Elorna pauses by the gate as she sees the note and reads it with a slight tilt to her head. After withdrawing a bit of paper and charcoal pencil from her satchel, she writes a short response and pins it below the first note.

 

"I am right here. Where are you?"

 

She turns and looks around the area with a quizzical expression, then writes in another line on her note.

 

"Do you need help with anything?"

Art blinks, still looking around.

"I realized Malin was cursed for his halls to remain empty and his people infertile, but really, this city is always empty. Where is everyone?"

*Examines his ever increasing stockpile of wine with sadness. No one is in town drinking the delicious wine, so it sits in barrels going sour.

As Elorna was walking out of the square she notices Art and pauses. "Ah, karin'ayla."

 

"Have you looked in the trees? Though in seriousness, many Mali moved away or... were even killed during the war with Polgrath and Oren. It would seem that many have not moved back."

The Bird Druid notices the sad little lonely note, on the board which once held thousands of rants, discussions, protests... He sighs sadly to himself, digging in his cloak for his writing tool...
