Oh joy. I've played on PvP servers practically the entire time I was playing on minecraft, and I have to say this decision is... not pleasing.

 

Essentially, what you're saying, is that instead of focusing on bettering my combat RP, RPly training, or having enjoyable RP combat, I have to be grinding in the iron/diamond mines so I can make myself iron/diamond tools to possibly survive PvP? Am I going to hear that every un-trained brigand who has a full suit of iron and tries to rob my less-armed characters now has an instant advantage, even if my more trained soldier character would otherwise be able to beat him down?
Or even worse, why should I have an advantage because of my fast computer and skill at PvP, when my character is a mere farmhand? 

 

Worse than that, are we going to get un-consented, unwanted PvP from a bunch of villains in iron armor? Am I going to get forced into PvP? I can answer that question: It's yes.

 

I shouldn't have to churn all of my skill points into pvp skill, especially if I want to make a character less oriented on fighting and more on peaceful RP; romance, socializing, adventuring. Even if I make a peaceful character, I'm going to be harassed by villain guilds who come up with arbitrary ways for excusing pointless murder. I truly hope that if this is the case and that PvP is going to be the norm for fights, that you at least make some sort of consent rule for villainy; because I don't want to be forced to PvP a bunch of villains who want my items.

I hope, even more, that this is revoked.

Now all the best PVPers on the server will all get together and roam the lands killing everyone who could of actually stood a chance in RP. I find it funny that everyone was complaining about how everyone is default amazing with a blade. Any sort of training that might of started to happen, what's the point?

Just calm down. We can't act like they don't know that some of us are raging. Hell, they're even giving us a chance to talk to them about it tomorrow. 

I'd be really saddened by players who leave just because they think that they aren't going to change any aspect of what they've posted here.

This baffles me. Since when has an RP server ever defaulted to PvP? I know that every non-rp fight I get in I will lose now. Not because of lack of skill, but because I run at 1-7 fps constantly.

If a person asks for rp fight, and the other asks for pvp. what happens?  Because i refuse to participate in pvp unless its a group of many people or a war. its a rp server so i would like to keep rping.

If pvp is default, doesn't that means that even if someone wants to rp, as long as the other person says no, then they still have to PVP? Its the same as if someone asks to PVP now, both groups have to want to do it.

The only real problem I see with this is that when one person wants to RP then the other wants to PvP. What then? They could do /roll for it but then that starts an argument.

Don't go around spiting in white roses face then, if its like aegis at all you can avoid PVP with RP you just have to be smart

 

We don't "spit in their faces" of blood eagles/whiteroses/villain guilds. We get ambushed with lackluster, unmotivated villain RP because they got pissed at some dwarf or dark elf and are now going on a nazistic ethnic cleansing spree for their own OOC enjoyment. This happens too often and they'll just dominate if it turns into PvP and then suddenly their armor stash is all that matters.
