I want this to be tried for one week, if its really bad then we switch back because I feel like there will be loads of rule breakers. I feel this way because some people will just jump right away and kill people they hate oocly without their consent. Now unless there is like a plugin that will let a player send a PVP invite to another player to alow pvp between only the two of them, I highly disapprove of this. Also if the player has a VA to attack without an invite, they can do a command that tells the player that he has a VA and is going to kill him.

We also should bring back the Stats system again if we do this.

I kinda like the idea especially since in many rp fights I'm in people are really unfair and are rather ridiculous. Too many players don't know the anatomy physics and chemistry behind what they do and how it would affect the other person in combat. For example someone thought that a knife slicing the thigh in as sideways fashion would cut my artery when actually it would require the knife to stab to hit it. Most of the time these people are also stubborn and have to get their way all the time even after i explain the science behind what they are doing.

Happy to see PVP default!   :D RP fights were fun, but they just took too long and started too many OOC arguments.

Right, anyways, i'm going to make this my final post and scoot off to do damage control elsewhere, because uninformed people are super-uncool.

 

 

And who's fault is this? The staff's. It's your job to inform players properly when such a major change happens so little to no misunderstandings occur. If the livestream is going to clear things up, then +1 for the Staff but giving out information like this before questions can be asked is literally just asking for panic and chaos to happen.

If anything this is what some people deserve. Try researching stuff about your RP instead of citing Skyrim. I've found actually going out and using a weapon with my real hands helps very much in rp.

For the love of Mog don't post **** like this without providing an alternative for all those opposed! I personally am not a fan of Pvp whatsoever  and am now making a skin that shouts "I AM A MAGE DON'T TOUCH ME", just for this purpose... also look what this has done so far:

Almost everyone in the casual skype chats I have is pissed, myself included. If you plan to offer a solution pertaining to this, you had better do this before the rest of the rpers leave. We can't afford to have this community degrade anymore than it already has.

P.S To all that say those with bad computers lose? I counter you with this, my PC is probably the worse PC anyone could use. It at best gets 100 FPS, yet that is a rare occasion. I can still PvP and I still win most of my fights. Why? Not because I have a good PC, because I use tactics and technique.

Tactics don't really mean jack when the screen freezes every fifteen seconds. -_-

The counter argument to this decision is quite funny and a lot like arguments for religion. For example:

 

'But without religion, no one will have any morals and people will go around raping and murdering and it will be chaos!'

 

'But with PVP default, everyone will go around murdering and LOTC will become a faction PVP server and it will be chaos!'

We don't "spit in their faces" of blood eagles/whiteroses/villain guilds. We get ambushed with lackluster, unmotivated villain RP because they got pissed at some dwarf or dark elf and are now going on a nazistic ethnic cleansing spree for their own OOC enjoyment. This happens too often and they'll just dominate if it turns into PvP and then suddenly their armor stash is all that matters.

 

Then Report them. The reason I am a villain is to have fun idc about my armour. and im very displeased you have compared me to a Nazi. and honestly I have not wanted to get into conflict due to the fact I have to have 1hr RP fights only to have 4 more show up and me fight them then lose. Where if it was PVP we would have been done and back to roleplay. RP fighting is not the only RP on the server.

If I can't trust a 'Senior Technician' who has been here much less, I cannot trust RPers who have been here even less to agree to RP fights.

 

 

But either way. I'll just refuse to PvP, if they can refuse to RP.

Honestly, if people didn't powergame so hard and complain about RP fights, this wouldn't really have been an issue in the first place. At least PVP fights are decisive.
